I became a caregiver because I enjoy people and have compassion for the elderly but also I feel what's sometimes left out is giving them their dignity. I like making people laugh. I love the stories they tell about their childhood's..their a history book in a sense. I enjoy keeping them interested in conversation as well as listening to them. A personal achievement I'm proud of is if it wasn't for my divorce (unfortunately) I never would have known the families I've touched by caring for their parents and that makes me feel very proud.
