1. I grew up always wanted to help people, I believe it stemmed from having a brother who was handicapped, I always had the need to help and try to do my best to make people feel better. 2. I enjoy being a caregiver because I can physically help and encourage people keep their independency which makes me the most happiest. 3. I'm a great caregiver because I'm compassionate, respectful, dependable and all the great qualities a caregiver should have. I love being an independent companion caregiver because it gives me the time to spend with those who may need some additional company or assistance and I can direct my care to that one individual who needs me in that moment. I'm very proud that I obtained my CNA license as a student at Bay Path Regional Vocational Technical High School just about 6 years ago. This is certainly something that has changed my life. After I decided to give up working in nursing homes/rehab facilities for personal reasons, I ended up taking care of my grandfather (24/7 care) at home when he came home from the hospital on hospice care after a major heart attack. It was definitely one of the most rewarding things I've ever done in my life and I wouldn't change it for the world. I hope to be able to help out you/your family member soon too!
I became a caregiver after taking care of my grandmother. I always want to be a Register Nurse since I was a young girl, I like being a caregiver to help children and elderly who are helpless. I am so proud of being able to provide quality care as a caregiver. I am a 39 years old, I am a mother of four children and a CCRI college student . Hello I started working as a caregiver about eight years ago before I became a caregiver I took care if my grandmother and I new this is what I wonted to do. When I'm not working I am home with my beautiful kids I would say they are my my biggest blessing, I can honesty say I love my work there is not a client I have had who didn't have a significant impact on my life I am so blessed to have a career I love so much and is this rewarding .
