Note ( moving from ct to Florida 2015) I became a personal home caregiver in 2005 when my mother became disabled and lost her sight due to diabetes. Before she lost her sight I already knew the importance of her maintaining the joy of her keeping her independence. I saw how her world changed around her when she lost her sight. My background will show I have a great depth of experience working in facilities that assist children, however I have worked for temp agencies where I accepted assignments providing care for adult women with disabilities. It brought joy to my heart to see a woman I wanted so dearly to help, She couldn't talk and was in a wheelchair. But but she opened up by smiling and enjoyed me reading to her,talking to her and taking her outside to enjoy the sunshine in oppose to former workers who assumed placing her in front of a television was all she needed. Every human being needs conversation, interaction with the community in which they live. I don't have a degree in nursing, but my years of experience caring for babies and adults has allowed me to obtain outstanding references from the best top Doctors, therapists, teachers, personal friends and Clergymen in the New England areas. I currently live in Connecticut, but I am seeking to work next year in the state of Florida. This state is Kissimmee Florida. I hope that I will be given the opportunity to prove my professional skills in providing care for someone's mom or dad in need of quality care.
