As a caregiver of the elderly with some or no disability, and as a single mother of Two, and the able caring child of my siblings, I have been a caregiver since my childhood helping my mother and siblings. I enjoy seeing the cheer and joy in their faces. Saying thank you. Some are not even able to express their feelings, but their response to me is comforting. They want me around them all the time, they want to come around all the time. Some forget their problems the more we chat about fun things, the touch, the concern, and the quality of care ,love, and respect I give them. That gives me joy and peace knowing that I may go through some of what they are going through some point in time in life. I have been able to help some elderly recover from their illness faster than it's predicted, some go through their lifestyle without feeling their being a dependant easing the stress from family members and making everybody feeling at home.
