My name is Kylie, I am 27 years old and I have been a personal care assistant (PCA) for the past 3 years, prior to that i was a Medical Assistant for 2 years. Let me start by saying I am very passionate about what I do and I absolutely LOVE my job! I live in Worcester and I have experience in private in-home healthcare with individuals who have had cerebral palsy, stroke victims, Addison's Disease, the elderly, clients with obesity and severe rheumatoid arthritis. I have experience operating a Hoyer, lifting and transferring individuals, and tending to all patient needs in a timely manner. I work very well independently which is why i prefer in-home settings, but I'm not opposed to facilities. I have experience distributing medications, assisting patients with meal planning and preparation, and assisting with daily grooming and bathing activities. I have maintained patients vital signs and weekly progress for the individuals families. I have provided all daily household chores, shopped for food or other household requirements and even maintained pet care. I have observed the clients physical and mental condition and also provided physical therapy exercise if required. In my opinion, getting to know a patient on a personal level while still maintaining professionalism is a must. I want the individual to have trust in me that I will care for them to the best of my ability. I look forward to hearing from you!
