In February of 2014 we found out my mom had brain cancer. From that moment on I became her full-time caregiver. I bathed her, toileted her, prepared her meals and fed her, organized her medications, contacted her doctors, and so much more. I gave her so much love and compassion. It was a blessing and a gift to be able to take care of my mom like that. She passed away four months later and I know that she had the best care she could ever get anywhere in her life. I love caregiving because people need to know that someone cares about them and that there are still compassionate people in this world who will walk with them through their journey and the struggles in their lives.
