I am a great worker, hardworking, reliable, cheerful, and very passionate about my job. I have 10 years of experience as a caregiver, CNA, companion. In addition, i have First aid and CPR certifications. I like to assist the seniors who need extra help in their daily lives, simply because it is a wonderful thing to do for someone. What i enjoy most about being a caregiver is that i learn alot from the people i care for. Such as culture, language, food, history and more. I am reliable, dependable, honest care giver for over 7 years. I like caring for the elderly. What I enjoy most, is knowing my clients gets better. One of my clients , was given 3 months to live, with 3 bypass heart condition,. When I started working with her, she lived for 3 years. Care giving is a selfless responsibility for every person giving care to clients and vulnerable people. I became a caregiver since the year 2000 after I graduated from Classic Nurses Academy and took my board Certified Nurses Assistant (CNA) licensure examination . Naturally, I'm compassionate , trustworthy, reliable, punctual on assignments , dedicated and above all very patience, I also love to make a difference in the life of others and put smiles on their faces, with that aspect of motivation in mind , I also helps the elderly at the volunteer food distribution in my community with whatever problems and needs that they may have. WORKING EXPERIENCE : I started working for Maxim Healthcare in January 2000. Through that, I connected with one of my clients who had Parkinson's disease. I worked with this client for a while until his children decided to hire me as a private caregiver and moved me with the client from Virginia to Colorado, because the children wanted their father to be closer to them. I took care of this client until he passed away. I returned back to Virginia after his death and started another work with Care Options in 2002. I have dealt with many clients with different needs and disabilities for the past eighteen years . Hello, My name is Margaret. I laugh alot and I take my Clients very seriously. I am one person who love her work. I provide care to my recipients as I would love to be served, uncompromised care. My Clients means alot to me because I understand that I feed my family from what they pay me. Therefore, I sherish them and treat them with due respect. I have a background where I took care of my Grandfather for two good years, when he fell and became hemipledgic. I have loved taking care of Seniors ever since. 1993. In 2004, I did my CNA, and I have worked as a caregiver ever since. I have seen Seniors go through geriatric challenges and I have been a very close person to them, until when they leave this word. I have learnt to love and to provide care and support that they deserve until their last day. I am not bragging, but I have been a good friend to anyone who fell in my hands as a recipient. I have mostly done Private Care and also through Agencies. I enjoy what I do.
1) Why did I become a Caregiver because all my life I have always love helping other and it started with my owe family. I was the youngest of eleven children and I watch my nieces and my nephews. I was taught by my mother to treat people the way you want to be treated. 2) What do I like about being a Caregiver, being a Caregiver give me joy and a fulfillment that I can make someone life better and bring happiness. She stated to me that god was going to bless me because I showed her love and I didn't know her. 4) I would like to introduce myself and to let you know, I am a Christian. I always treated people the way I want to be treated.. I have worked in healthcare for several years. My passion is tending to the patients mind, body and spirit, in other words to ensure that they thrive where ever they are. All my life I have always being a caregiver and a servant to other. I have done volunteer in the activities and hostility areas at nursing/rehabilitation center. My career has being in the computer areas but my heart have been caring for other. Before God decide to take my 97 years old mother home, I took care of all personal needs. I have worked for Carelinx since November 2015 and the first client I cared for was a 99 year young woman and she enrich my life., She was more than just a client. she became my family. I have a Medical background and I love helping people to easy physical or emotional pain. I have worked as a care giver/companion for Comfort keepers(part time) and I love every second of it. Love to work with seniors because I learn so much with/from them, listening to their stories and the history of their families and the towns they are from. It is very gratifying to know I am helping them to feel respected and loved. Some of my clients have become part of my life and family and I am still in contact with them even when they are not under my care anymore. I have learn new skills from my clients such to be grateful for being healthy, caring and patient to others' pain and flaws, I have learned to garden and knit and even to appreciate antiques, classic music and simple things. Seniors are treasures that need love and cares, they are present of how our future would be.
