I am a family oriented person who is a reliable individual. A service-focused nursing professional with excellent patient-care and charting skills gained through 11 plus years of experience as a CNA. My Compassionate and technically skilled in attending to patients in diverse healthcare or home settings. I Provided one-on-one service to patients in a hospital facility, long- term care, short term care, hospice care, and in the comfort of the private homes. I care for individuals with Neurological Disorders such as dementia, Alzheimer's disease, physical disability, those undergoing post-operative recovery, and, convalescent's, etc. I provide hands-on nursing care to patients, residents, clients, and customers in a variety of health care settings. I typically provide assistance with bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, and oral care to people who cannot do these tasks alone. I provide for activities of daily living by assisting with serving meals, feeding patients as necessary and ambulating, turning, and positioning patients; I have multi-tasking skills that help me use my time wisely. I distribute medications to patients and keeping records of the patient's vitals. I understand the legal implications of patient care. With both empathy and compassion, I show my clients that I truly care about their well being. I am very patient, dependable, and trustworthy. I am an excellent verbal and written communication. Among the many skills, my strong communication skills are one of the most important. My passion is to help others and being a good listener has sharpened my skills in all areas of my career. 1. I am currently retired and unemployed, but seeking a position which would not require me to supervise or manage other employees. 2. I feel it gives me a little flexibility in work hours and responsibilities, while providing companionship to a senior citizen in need of services. 3. I went back to school at age 55 to become an Aesthetician. Being the oldest student in the class, graduating ( in spite of an injury which caused me to lose 3 mos out of class, but coming back and graduating WITH my class) and passing my State Boards to obtain my license. 4. I have worked over the last 40+ years, in various positions, in corporate America. I would like to be of assistance to someone who needs a little attention, and care, to make a difference in their life.
