Caring, Outgoing, I've been working for FISD as a special needs teacher, I am now looking for something more.

My personality traits that I'm naturally a caring person and have compassion for others. I love to help others. I have the ability to bring my best qualities into my work environment and use them alongside the skills I have gained training in nurse assistant and medical assistant education. What attract me in been a caregiver is my mother who is a retired nurse for over 20 yrs and my grandmother who always helping people in need at her age of 91 she still does her part in the community. In 2010 my grandfather pass away of myeloma I was his caregiver. All this and more attracted me to become a caregiver. I enjoy most about been a caregiver is an opportunity to show love, respect, and dignity to those in need. It is a deeply fulfilling experience that allows me to learn more about myself and grow as an individual. Caring for someone is a powerful and intimate relationship that can bring about a strong connection and bond. When caring for someone, it is important to show love, trust, and understanding. One of my personal achievement that I proud of is becoming an advocate of others who is need.

What makes me a great caregiver is that I am able to relate to the needs of my clients base on individuality. I am very compassionate towards my clients. I try my very best to understand their needs and find a solution to it. I became a caregiver not only to help people who are at a disadvantage but rather because I care about people and enjoy being a part of their lives. For many years I've lived away from my father, but the moment I received a phone call that he had a stroke I dropped everything and went to care for him until he recovered. That alone shows how caring and concern I am about people who are unable to care for themselves. What I like about being a caregiver is the fact that I am able to bring a smile on the faces of my clients no matter what moods they are in for that particular day. I go to an extended mile to make sure that their needs are met and that they are taken good care of and happy. One personal achievement I am proud of is being able to graduate college. Both my parents are illiterate and for me to be the first out of four siblings to go to college and graduate was a very good accomplishment for me. And with what I have learned and experience I will continue to strive in what I love the most; that is helping people.

1 What makes you a great caregiver? I'd leave it to others to rate me as a caregiver: my clients, former clients, client's family members. I'd only say that competence, personal integrity and humility (serving and putting others first) are core to the kind of person I endeavor to be in THIS LIFE. 2 Why did you become a caregiver? I became a caregiver because I love ALL peoples, and serving is the best way to demonstrate sincere love, love as defined by N.T. writers This Douglas Adams quote says it best: "To give real service you must add something which cannot be bought or measured with money, and that is sincerity and integrity." 3. What do you like about being a Caregiver? I'm gratified when the care I provide exactly meets the client's needs and allows family members to confidently have a guilt-free break from the care of an aging, ill, or disabled family member. (There are two in my family) 4. What is a personal achievement you are proud of? -I was picked to be on a team assembled to care for a quadriplegic client. I had the privilege of providing her professional home healthcare: meal preps, tub baths, light housekeeping, from bed to chair transfers, (without HoyerLift) She also required a colostomy bag and urinary catheter care. -I'm also proud to have been selected, from a relatively large number of candidates, to assist a family dedicated to the care of a loved one severely disabled by Autism. -Most recently, I enjoyed the privilege of helping to provide 24-hour care for a SECOND quadriplegic client: a large male, requiring assistance with no HoyerLift transfers, tub baths, lots of passive ROM & OT prescribed exercises, scheduled repositioning while asleep, and more -I once successfully self-prepared at home for a proctored Microsoft exam. -Self-instructed, I can speak some Spanish and some Mandarin Chinese. 5. Tell us something about yourself. Grandfather of 4 -lifelong Bible student -love: Gospel hymns, animals, plants, walks, ping pong, audiobooks.

I'm I received a Masters in counseling. I worked at three psychiatric hospital two of them I was a therapist intern. I worked as a medical technician --a position called mental health counselor in an eating disorder clinic. I worked for psychiatric service doing home health for patient who were discharge from local hospitals with medical conditions and suffered major depression due to decline in health . I wrote treatment plans and conducted weekly visits after the RN or NP completed there treatment for the medical conditions. I also worked as life skills trainer for individual will disabilities--life skills trainer in the homes. I worked also for home health medical agencies performing caregiver services. Bathing, cooking, cleaning , giving medications, and scheduling times for exercise. I worked a short time in hospice and did some work with two family member in home hospice.

Hi Ive been in the medical field in various levels of patient care over 35 years. I have prenursing training and education , Im a registered Phlebotomist and Medical Assistant, much more than a CNA. After caring for my 95 year old mom for 6 years; the realization needing an xtra hand, if nothing else to get a break , was challenging to locate a professional quality caregiver that actually knew what they were doing, and were reliable. It's important to have a good fit with your reliable caregiver. In order to achieve quality care, the well-being , help maintain as much independence as possible, and mentally stimulation; plus provide comfortably safe environment is crucial. I offer a variety of shifts, days, and nights, over-night and weekends /holidays stays, to assist, and provide that much needed break to the full time family caregivers. Especially if you are on your own and need a helping hand till you recover, I'm there for you. I enjoy making a difference helping those that really need it. If it will help you stay home versus a skilled facility I'll be there to assist where I can. I take pride in being punctual, accomplishing the tasks at hand, and providing you peace of mind you have someone you can rely upon. I consider myself blessed to have a connection with the elderly. When I was a 14 yrs old had the most amazing bond with the 93 year old mother of our church and I will never forget her. I personally feel responsible for the helpless ; I didn't know I needed a reason why. However, I have realized it's not for everyone. I take pride in the connection and the ability to bond with a person in need of understanding and compassion. I now consider it a gift and I am humbly grateful.

I believe our elder community are to be cherished, I take great pride in Providing care and assistance for my clients as I do my own family. I work very well with our Alzheimer's family, as it has become a very important part of my life. I maintain a ALS, CPR and a BLS License. As of 9/24/18 I have obtained my Instructors license for the American Heart Association. I am extremely dedicated when becoming your health care provider. My goal is to improve your loved ones mental and physical health, Ultimately focusing on a better quality of life, bring your loved one to a state of happiness and well being.

I really enjoy helping the patient comfortable in their own space. My grandfather and the way he was treated in a nursing home. He just wanted to be at his home. Helping my patient feel comfortable and relaxed. Letting him or her tell stories about the past,love,kids, what it was like in the old days. Being there for them when they need me most. Making them feel useful and they do matter
