I became a caregivers because I think the family members should remain at home in their own surrounding. I enjoy being a caregiver because I enjoy taking care of people and help them in the time they have left. I'm proud that my patients trust me to take care of them and feel safe. I have been doing home health for 17yrs and I was trained by my parents. They did home health as live-in's and I would give them time off. Like. 48 to 72hrs.I have also worked in Nursing Home's. Plus I've worked for Nurses. Umlimted for 9 year's now. I love what I do for a living. I enjoy my work because I can give the families a chance to go back to being husband and wife or mother an daughter or son an dad. I try to take away the stress of being a care giver to family members

I became a caregiver since 2002 caring for my grandmother and ever since it became a passion of mine. I make a great caregiver because I enjoy making people smile, laugh through their difficult time. I will work well with their family and honor their wishes and goals. I like caregiving because I like for my patients to feel good about themselves and take the stress off family members who aren't able to care for your loved ones. I do know CPR as well.

When i was 12 my greatgrand mother needed alot of help. Walking, bathing and spending alot of time with her. At that age i wanted to play but, i did thing as she asked. She soon started to depend on me alot more. She died when i was fourteen. I understand what families are going through. I went through it myself now that im older i feel that it's important not to just give the person the things they need. But to truly be there freind for them and the family. Because this is a tring time for all.

I began my caregiver career 13 years ago and I have always followed the first rule I was taught: remember this is their home and you are the guest! That rule applies to any and all caregiver settings. I have found that if i truly respect and enjoy my patients and their belongings, everyone stays happy! I am lucky enough to say with confidence that I have found my true calling!
