I am a single Mom of two Sons, 24 and 20. When they were younger, I volunteered and worked at their schools as well as coached their soccer and basketball teams. I've volunteered at churches, senior homes and The American Red Cross. I am compassionate, empathetic, a good listener, responsible, dependable and trustworthy. I'm also outgoing, patient and have a strong desire to help others! I love caregiving and my goal is to successfully take care of a client's needs while making their day as enjoyable as possible through conversation and laughter, activities, etc. I have been a caregiver for both men and women and am a Certified Nurse Assistant. I began working as a Nursing Assistant before one had to be certified by the state of Florida. I worked at Magnolia Nursing Home in Pensacola, FL. for about 13 years. I went back to school and got my Degree in criminal Justice, and I worked for the state of Florida in the Juvenile System in various program. Community probation, Juvenile Detention, and Intensive Supervision probation. In 2004, I began working parttime as a companion and Home Health Aid for Nurse Finders, and I worked for Hospice in Pensacola, as a prn aide on the week end. I am an experience caregiver.

I care about others not only because they deserve the proper attention and personalized support but because it is the right thing to do. I have first hand experience with Alzheimer's and dementia. My grandpa, the man that help raise me, has a special case. He was diagnosed around 6 years ago. My grandmother isn't in the best health and needed help. I was assisting with their day to day routine and decided to make a career out of it. Every client I come in contact with is treated as if they are my family. I create a bond to show them I will be that one person that will give them the proper care and attention they need.

I am a professional caregiver with experience in several areas in the medical field from nursing homes to dialysis clinics. I took care of two ill family members that are no longer with us, I enjoy helping others it makes me feel good to know that I have made someone's day better I am a caring compassionate person that understands the different disabilities of others and the feeling of families having to have a stranger take care of their loved ones, that is why I go above and beyond to take care of my residents. I became a Cna at 17 years old when my Great Grandmother decided she would not stay home with us, not wanting to burden family. I decided that one of us needed to go to her then and went to Job Corp got my Ged and Cna before my Highschool class graduated. I then took my first job at Parkview Nursing and Rehab in Waterloo, Iowa . I believe in giving my clients and their families the best of me as I see the big picture and know how hard caring at home can be. In 1998 my grandpa was diagnosed with Parkinson's We kept him home as long as we could and then I went to work at Country View where he was first placed due to memory problems. He ended up back home ! We cared for him until he suffered a fall ( very common in Parkinson's ) at that time Caring for the elderly in a loving, respectful and life enriching way no matter the illness/ ability is my goal! I want my clients to have the best day each day they spend with me and I have an amazing portfolio showcasing my light work and great family references! I am capable of all aspects of homecare!
