Hi,I"m Sharonda I have 15 plus years experience in elderly and senior care. I started out in a nursing facility in 2006 .When I was in training, I was taught how to care for total care patients and how to make an occupied bed. I am very passionate about the career I chose and feel I am responsible for the care that is needed to help them meet their daily needs.What makes me attracted is that I enjoy working one-on-one, in home care. I'm proud of telling my patient i work for hospice palliative care to let them know when you get on hospice that don't mean you on your last days that is not true.

I have been a caregiver off and on for a couple years now. I have learned that most elderly stick to me often because I have an upbeat energy about me. I enjoy what I do and love caring for people. I have worked with hospice patients, dementia patients. I tend to go above and beyond as a caregiver and never had a complaint from most elderly. I enjoy working with people and being a caregiver because I know that not everyone can do some of these simple everyday tasks alone and it brightens my day to see them smile.

I enjoy working with people and most enjoy jobs where I have one-on-one interaction with others. I enjoyed taking care of elder family members and would like to help others in this way. I like older adults and feel I can get along well with a variety of elders. I like doing work that has the potential to make a difference in someone’s life. I like doing a variety of tasks in a day. I don’t ever say, “that’s not my job” but instead like pitching in to do whatever is needed. I like making someone smile and doing little things to make a person’s day better. I take pride in I pay attention to detail. I don’t want a desk job; I'd like being physical in my job and using my body as well as my brain. I'm seeking a career with growing opportunities. I don’t want to invest in many years of formal education but I'm are willing to learn new skills and take continuing education to do your job well. I feel that when I'm are older, you’d want someone like yourself there to help you if you need help.
