I have been a Caregiver/ CNA since 1998. I handle anything you throw my way. I have worked with people in early stages of demenita to the last stages of life ( hospice). I love the work I do because it keeps me humble. Working with people in all diferent stages in life is not for everyone. But I do believe this is my calling. Being a caregiver has also helped me become a better mother to my 5 children. Because without patience and understanding it can all go array. I'm hoping that one day I can take all the skills I have learned over the years and become a great nurse.
I have worked as a care provider for special needs kids for 12 years and moved into adult caregiving. I am a certified Caregiver and went to AZMTI for schooling to get my certification. I am currently working in memory care and enjoy it. I'm a very patient person which helps when working with the needs of my clients.
I have worked in the medical field for 20 yrs. I enjoy working with people, helping them to recover from all kinds of surgeries. I am also a certified respiratory therapist.
What makes me a great caregiver is that I' am very passionate about my job. I love working for others, providing the necessary care to improve the quality of life for my clients, I' am very patient, I' am a good listener, I communicate affectively, I' am a quick thinker, problem solver, and very caring. I became a caregiver to help others during a very delicate time. It is not always easy to ask for help, or receive help from anyone. This is what drives me to help others. To help them feel comfortable and cared for. I enjoy making others happy. A personal achievement I' am proud is returning to school part time to receive a social work degree.

I've been working in many aspects of healthcare since 1991. I Started out working with Young Adults with TBI and SCI injuries. I've run Alzheimer's Homes in the valley. From there I went into Hospital work as a CNA on Ortho, Med Surg, Tele, Oncology, Mental/Behavioral Health, Drug Addiction. Looking for more excitement I transferred into The Operating Room and worked as an Operating Room Assistant and later an Anesthesia Tech. Excitement got a little overwhelming so I learned to read Telemetry and was in charge of 60 plus people in the hospital on different floors.
After 7 years there I left and started at Craig Hospital one of the Best rehab facilities in the country maybe the world. I was there for 13 years working with Major Brain injuries and Spinal cord injuries. In this time I became VERY proficient at working SCI & TBI. Bowel programs and Quad care. I'm a very good teacher and that was part of my job to educate family members so they could bring their loved ones home. I also have a VERY good understanding of TBI patients and spent Eight years working One On One with these individuals with Relearning EVERY aspect of their lives again. Educating family was a huge part of this job.
I have tremendous experience and Impeccable references! In Twenty plus years in healthcare I've NEVER had a complaint against my license or inadvertently hurt ANY of my patients. Safety has always been my number ONE concern. I've received many awards for excellence in my years and go the extra mile to make sure my job was completed and my patients are comfortable and relaxed. After all we're here for them! I have a great personality and I'm VERY trust worthy. Im a man of my word. I work equally well with Men and Woman. My hearts in the right place. I'd love the opportunity to help you and your family member through difficult times.

Caregiving is something that I should've started to do a long time ago. I believe being a caregiver is a natural talent for me. I love spending time with people of all ages. I really enjoy looking after my sister's children and I also find great joy in spending time with my grandparents. Making them happy and comfortable is rewarding. I like being the person that can help with daily activities, it is a fulfilling position. I'm thankful that I'm capable and compassionate about caregiving, I think it's a blessing to be a blessing.
What would make me be a great caregiver is that i have a sense of empathy, caring either for a small child to and elderly person. I understand and connect most of the time with Patients that they can create a sense of calmness and trust with in me. I also have lots of Patients for those in need of my help i listen to what ever they have to tell me so they can feel some affection towards a caregiver. What attracts me to being a caregiver is that i myself have grandparents living with me i know as getting to a certain age you need help and cant do many things for yourself, There for this is when i realized this would be a perfect job for, since i love to help others in need or may need any type of resources from me. What i enjoy most about being a caregiver is that you get to listen to other people, have a conversation with them and help them feel better. A personal achievement that i am proud of is that i have grown in this career path not only as for who i am but also my capability of managing a professional Medical Assistant in me and helping those in need of my help.
