I like helping people . One day I am going to get old and I hope someone takes care of me as well as I have taken care of people in the pass. I am a firm believer that if you are good to people ,people will be good to you. I am very good at what I do and like doing this type of work. I have been doing this kind of work for over 25 years. I am 57 years old and also certified. I am very dependable. Also very flexible, I am not married and don't have kids. I am also willing to go out of town if it is a good fit for me. Also have my own car so transportation will not be a problem. All I ask for is a chance I know you will like me and my work.

I enjoy bringing a smile to my clients by attending to all their activities of daily living. Such as safe surroundings, hygiene, meal prep and just being there for them. It has been a rewarding career since 1988.

Hello. I became a caregiver to my father in 2010 after my mother passed. I enjoyed it immensely and loved every moment I got to spend giving back to dad for all he has done for me over the years. He passed in 2018. From there I was hired with a wonderful company that does transportation and VIP services for seniors and cancer patients. I meet so many great people and enjoy making a difference in their lives. I become a caregiver because I studied and trained to my friends home care. I like caregiving because I love it and it's a passion taking care of senior. What makes me a great caregiver? I love people and just knowing am able to give back to my elders is amazing. I am a caregiver to everyone my own children, others children, elders and people on the street by feeding them and just assisting them where its needed , giving words of encouragement. Around the community people call me mama/ mama nay-nay or grandma. I feel God put me on this earth to care for others besides myself. I have always put others needs before my own. As a caregiver, I am responsible for the well being of others and/or the patient I am taking care of. I have a nurturing desire to help those in need. One of the characteristics that make me a good caregiver is empathy. With empathy, I am able to get a personal connection/understanding of my patient which is vital. With empathy, my patient can create a sense of calamity and trust for those being cared for. Another characteristic is patience. You must have patience to care for your patient. Your patient may not be self-sufficient enough to express themselves which can lead to outburst and frustrations. Reliability is essential to being caregiver.
