I have a friend that believed that I would be a great caregiver. She hired me; I worked day shifts and learned a lot about care giving with my first client. I have decided to go back to college to pursue becoming a Registered Nurse. I am currently on the waiting list at Pima Community College. I helped to care for my grandfather who was a paraplegic when my grandmother passed away. I helped him get in and out of bed every day with the help of a transfer board or hoyer lift. I also helped him with all ADL's as well as housekeeping, med reminders, and transportation. I took a CNA class at Central Az College, and passed with flying colors. I also plan on going back to school this fall to start the nursing program and to ultimately become an RN. I have been caring for elders since the age of sixteen and I am now thirty two. It is my passion to help others.
