What makes me a good caregiver is that I care and love helping others. In the last two years I have cared for two different woman, one of which has dementia and needed to get out of the house for errands, doctor appointments and companionship. It allowed her husband to have some alone time and allowed her to feel she had not lost her independence. The other woman is 92 years old. This job asked for a full time live in which I embraced. My duties included, cooking all her meals, shopping for all food, daily bathing and administering her medications. I also take her to needed appointments, and general outings. I love a clean house and keep her home as clean as I would my own. The reason I would be a good choice is that I am realible, trustworthy, and an excellent cook and driver. I am currently looking to relocate to Palm Springs, Indian Wells or La Quinta.

Hello, my name is Sandra Cordova, I originally became a caregiver when my daughter fell I'll in November 2011 my duties included medication management, cooking and cleaning, taking her to and from doctors appointments, shopping, companionship, occasional helping with dresing and laundry. That ended in March 2015. Since then I have worked for other clients through IHSS. When the work is done for my clients to their satisfaction, I consider it to be a successful day. I am proud to have seen my clients through a few crisis situations successfully. I believe I am a great care giver because I am willing to go the extra mile for my clients. I love the medical field and helping others in need. I got involved in care giving over 25 years ago while working for an Oncologist and seeing how families struggled to meet home health needs that some insurances didn't cover. I have experience being hands on in home and also at a care facility. I am also working volunteer for American Red Cross and registered with the state which means I have been back ground checked. I have experience working with memory care and hospice. My goal is to deliver superior service, dependability and compassion for those in need. It is my mission to bring a special energy and positive attitude to each relationship I am blessed to be a part of.I want to provide peace of mind and trust to the family and friends that their loved one is receiving the love and dignity they deserve. My greatest achievement has been caring for my own father this last year who passed from stage 4 pancreatic cancer. he was on hospice and we were able to keep him at home. I would be honored to help with your loved one.Thank you and God Bless

I decided I wanted to become a caregiver after years of volunteering in a assisted living facility. I enjoy helping others and their families. Growing up I aspired to be a nurse but realized I enjoyed nursing more than the medical part of that field. I've put to practice my CNA and HHA licenses for private care and am interested in continuing working in private care. My goal is to continue my focus on caregiving for a few more years then open a home for elderly for assisted living. I believe I could help many patients and families to feel at home and ease in a assisted living environment.
