I've been a CNA for 19yrs & a Caregiver for over 30yrs. I love taking care of people; learning about peoples lives & encouraging them. I love doing Respite Care. I love to interact with pediatric, geriatric & babies.

Caregiving is something close to my heart. I do not have any official certifications, but I was a caregiver to my grandmother and my mother. I provided care for my grandmother, she had Alzheimer's disease. I prepared her meals and assisted her in eating. I also assisted her with bathing and toileting. I also cared for my mother when she had cancer and have been inspired to pursue caregiving as a career.

I am an exemplary caregiver that is very dependable, friendly, and detail-oriented. I like to connect with people and educate them on preventative care as well as activities of daily living. Since I was in high school I've always worked in the healthcare field. I plan to move up in the healthcare profession and become a Nurse Practitioner. I am an Alumnus of the University of Nevada Reno with a Bachelors Degree in Biology and a minor in Communications. I have a lot of experience working with a variety of patients starting from when I volunteered at a local hospital while I was in high school. Upon graduating high school I became a certified nursing assistant in order to broaden my experience with patient care. After working as a CNA at Renown, I started working for St. Mary's Regional Medical Center as a Patient Care Tech. I feel confident in my ability to perform any tasks given to me and would love the opportunity to prove that ability to you. I have been a licensed CNA for over ten years now and I love what I do. Ever since i was a little girl i always enjoyed taking care of people, i love the companionship and bond I have with my patients and their families. Being a cna has brought me so many smiles and has given me so much joy in the last ten years.

I became a caregiver because of a unique opprotunity to take the nursing assistant course for free with the chance to be hired on by the company afterwards. I've always liked interacting with people and been good at sales but sales wasn't what I liked doing. The idea of selling something I don't want never appiesed me, however I found that my sales experience came in handy being a cna because then I could get the residents to agree to the care they needed. That felt rewarding for me because something positive came from it rather then another piece of product in someones home. I'm very proud of the fact that I was able to step into this field with no prior experience and do well. Well enough even to turn the facilities second state inspection around to a passing grade. I enjoy working as much as I do being at home with my family and am always willing to put in extra time when asked.
