Caregiving is a very personal job, still I find ways to incorporate love, humor, cheerfulness, fun, hope, trust and optimism into my care. I look forward to building a close relationship with my clients and their family. I love that I get the opportunity to listen and learn about thier lives as it allows me to live vicariously through their many adventures, life accomplishments and travels. I find capturing their legacy most fascinating...respecting their dignity. Lastly and most importantly, meeting them when/where they need it most in their life's journey... be it a speedy recovery or their last chapter in the book of life.

It is important to me as a caregiver that I support and promote independence. My objective is to provide safety and security while ensuring my client's dignity.

I am a very compassionate person I try to have humor to make any situation a little bit better when necessary, I love being present so that I know from beginning to end what is going on and what needs to take place, I consider myself to be very detailed oriented and is willing to set boundaries for the safety of my clients and others around. I love being a caregiver because I enjoy spending time with my elders and making them feel comfortable and safe at all times. I enjoy most about providing care to the seniors is that I have the advantage of making that person feel loved safe and while again, I am proud to actually say I have made a difference in homes with their elder families and created a trust line Between the clients and myself were that person feels they can be themselves yet Still feel cared for to the best of my ability.

I have many years of experience as a caregiver working with adults and seniors with different health problems. I am compassionate about my job, empathy, respect, reliable, agreeable and dedicated to my job are some of the things that keeps me successful in this job. Most importantly, my clients appreciates my traits a lot and it keeps me going.

I have been care of older people since I was 17. I helped take care of my great great grandmother, and my grandfather until they both passed... My love for caring for older people comes from taking care of ones who were dear to me. So because of them I continued on my care giving my going thru agencies and also my completing my Cna class. Have not yet went to take my state exam but I am in the process of going to take. I love what I do.

Thank you for taking the time to review my profile! I will start off by saying I've always had a heart [?]for the Elderly. My desire had started when I worked at Davita Dialysis clinic. For 2 years. I can honestly say you need to have compassion and empathy for these patients who enduring such critical treatment for their life. Its not something they looked forward too. Who wants to get stuck with 2 big needles , and sit in a chair for 2-4 hours 3 days a week. ?Nobody! I believe for most of our patients , what they did look forward to was seeing their PCT's who cared for them. I tried my best to bring a smile to their face, everyday make them laugh, give them hope, encourage them, let them know that I cared for each of my patients. If they allowed me , I prayed for them too. Last year I explored the in home caregiving field , a close friend of mine needed someone so desperately care for her grandmawmaw. To know that your not only helping that patient , you are also help that family. She was told she wouldn't be able to walk after for 4 months after her accident. I had her walking in 3 weeks! Being consistent and with her persistence doing our physical therapy exersizes everyday .My job duties were to cook her 3 meals a day, shop for her, light cleaning, campanionship, we read the bible, read our daily devotionals, she loved to sing worship songs and get her make up and lashes done by me. My other passions and jobs are Professionsl makeup Artistry and singer. We enjoyed eachother so much. I worked with her for 6 months. I was sad they had to let me go. They did not need my care any longer. But I gained so much experience. Before you make your decision in choosing your caregiver for your loved one I will end with this...
