I realized that I loved the personal connection and I knew whatever I chose to do in life , I wanted to be in a position to make people happy . I am 25 years old, I have been a caregiver for a span of 4 years so far! Everything about being a caregiver is so important to me, from the tidy housekeeping, to companionship and client support is all crucial to me. Growing up, I joyfully assisted my grandmother in helping her take care of her mother who needed to be bathed, changed and cared for. In my adult life I look back at this experience and take pride in knowing that I have been an extension of a person, for themselves. For the last year and a half I have been caring for my grandmother who has dementia. I enjoy making people feel welcome and comfortable, keeping them feeling good about themselves. My path in life is to help people stay positive and treat people with understanding, compassion, love and empowerment to stay motivated. I want to help people achieve personal goals, even if the goal is just to wake up and smile. I was successfully working in the property management industry for 11 years. My favorite part of the job was assisting people. I had recently decided to leave this field and pursue a field that focuses more on the individual and their needs. I excel in record keeping, setting up schedules and following through on thing that I start. I am flexible and I adapt to changes easily. I acknowledge the importance of treating people fairly. I would love the opportunity to be apart of the Care Giver Community in whatever area I'm needed in.
