I care a lot about the elderly. I first started out in this profession helping my father after my mother passed away. He was 75 and needed help with meals and cleaning the home, plus driving him to appointments. I also took care of my dad's sister, after her husband passed away. Helped with meals, took her to any appointments she had and helped with any cleaning around her home. She was 80 at the time and really needed my help. I've also taken care of friend's family members and also a girlfriend of my sisters who had surgery and needed someone with her for 3-4 days post op. It was a great experience doing that and feeling good about helping others. I enjoy the work that I do and look forward to meeting new clients and helping them with getting on with their daily lives. (i''M GOING TO BE MOVING SOON TO THE INLAND EMPIRE AREA . I hope to find a live In situation for Companion/Caregiving job. Please contact me if that's something that can help you out). Thank You, Nancy.

For me it is not just a job. It is a profession, a chance to make a difference in someone's life and help to cope with difficult life circumstances. During the last eight years I had many rewarding experiences, which help to maintain a positive, empathetic attitude. Most of the time I have been working as a Live-in caregiver. I took care of clients who had had one or multiple strokes and was very happy to assist them with Physical Therapy exercises to improve their mobility. Others were Parkinson's-, Alzheimer's or Cancer patients. I am also familiar with Hoyer Lift and the use of oxygen. I have a very positive view on life, a good sense of humor and love animals.

I went into caregiving because I find a great deal of satisfaction taking care of others. I particularly enjoy the elderly. I have worked in private homes and in rehab facilities (alcohol and drug abuse) during the past 6 years. I also attended nursing school, but did not complete my course work. I have a CNA certificate. People say I have a pleasant personality and I am able to communicate well with anyone.
