I continued my Education by taking an EMT course at Mesa College. From there I worked as an respiratory tech for a home oxygen therapy company. Every since I can remember I have had the desire to help people so decided at an early age that the Nursing/Caregiver occupation was what I wanted to pursue. After finishing Nursing school I worked as a CNA for many years until studying to become a Medical Assistant. I have been in the area for the past 25 years, working as a CNA, Medical Assistant, Nanny, and Caregiver, raising two boys, and now enjoying 4 grandsons. As I got older becoming a Caregiver/Companion is something I decided to concentrate on since it gives me great satisfaction to help someone on a one on one basis.
I have worked extensively with special needs adults, providing and documenting all personal care and rehabilitation services such as feeding, bathing, and assisting with mobility. My focus on safety and nurturing nature allows me to help boost resident morale and help them maintain dignity in times of distress. My dedication to delivering top-notch care to every individual I serve is evidenced by skills I provide. I've continued to pursue additional training opportunities through online courses in order to stay current with best practices in the field. Certified Medical Assistant with 3 years of experience in the clinical field, CPR certified with license up to date, Also a Cosmetologist & a Sassoon haircutting specialist, which can also be a plus to maintaining personal care for my clients. (Negotiable on prices)
I grew up in a family of healthcare workers. After my Father-in-law got diagnosed with terminal cancer I decided to quit my job and stay home to help take care of him while he was on hospice. I then went to school and got my certificate for Medical Assisting and Medical Terminology. I have several years experience working in the medical field with people in many different stages in life. I have worked with those that needed minimal assistance such as laundry, shopping, cooking and cleaning, and I have also work with families that have loved ones that are in the last stages of life and are home on hospice care and require more assistance. I would love to meet with you and your family to see if we are the right fit for each other.
I became a caregiver because I have a passion for life, and believe everyone deserves quality care. My most precious achievement our my seven beautiful children, without a doubt I am a cancer survivor, that made it, came out of that with some major health issues, but most importantly, I'm alive, and have a wonderful lust for life.
I have a great passion caring for people of all ages, Definitely a "People Person". This passion has been in me for a long time 15 years as a medical assistant and Navy Hospital Corpsman. I started Home Health Care-giving almost 8 years ago, I started with my Dad and have been working with many Families in the Area ever since. This is a great personal achievement for me touching several families lives in the area, creating numerous friendship ties. I am also a Proud Marine/Navy Veteran.
