My main focus of care for elderly is giving them the attention and love through the care I give them. Their well being is my priority. I am quite adaptable to any environment and because of that I'd like to think I am very friendly. I understand that not everyone is the same so I tend to approach each individual with an open mindset. This is also why I enjoy caregiving because I get to learn from them about life experiences and as they share their wisdoms. The idea that I could be of help to someone, attracted me to this line of work.

I worked for Extended Care facilities for a number of years as a CNA, and I didn't feel fulfilled. As an nursing assistant I had 15 or more patients, and I didnt feel as though they were receiving the care, and attention that they deserved. Being a caregiver with CareLinx affords me the luxury of being able to take care patients in way that they truly deserve. I've done this for 25+ years and I really enjoy spending time with the seniors while I provide for their daily needs.

Nursing is a calling for me. Making sure that people receive the best possible care I am able to provide is my most important goal. Safety first always, compassion, dignity, privacy, respect and hope are all important attribute's that I find essential to good nursing care. It is a meaningful gratifying experience to know that I can add to someone's life and possibility bring goodness when health issues can be a challenge and so often depressing. Good nursing requires being completely present while in someone's home or in a facility. My standards are no cell phones while at work, no clock watching, and I always address people with respect by using MR.or Mrs. (last name) until I am encouraged otherwise. Using Mama or Papa and other terms of endearment are not appropriate for me personally in professional healthcare. I use old fashion "yes Mam, yes Sir, no Mam, no Sir. and in an audible understandable language. CNA #00648980

The best part of becoming a caregiver. Is to be able to help those get on the road to become independent with a little assistance. Being a caregiver is To be selfless . Which is great to want to help others with your hole hart.

I am a compassionate, polite, respectful, patient, friendly, positive, loving, caring, cheerful person and caregiver. I have been working as a care home aide since 2017. I chose this career because I love helping people and assist them with their daily activities. With my attention to details, I make sure that clients maintain their schedules and specific rules are followed (e.g. medications, skin checks, showers, exercises). I believe that an excellent caregiver has excellent interpersonal skills and shows empathy and compassion. These are essential to provide excellent quality care. When a caregiver is able to put herself in the clients' shoes, she understands their feelings and their world. I have excellent time management and organizational skills. I make sure that medication is taken on schedule and clients get to appointments on time. I enjoy and appreciate my job very much because I am able to help others on a daily basis. Knowing that a smile on your face can bring joy and happiness to someone else is priceless. The moments when you can reflect back and see how you have helped someone is what caregiving is all about.
