The most reason I become a Caregiver, because I grow up with my grandma, as part of our culture and custom, living in extended family. I get use to their personal needs and learn a lot from their knowledge and wisdom, which now a days new generation despise their precise deep experience in life. I'm proud to be a caregiver because its in my blood, living together with elderly under one roof. I do respect and adore them. I worked as a caregiver for more than 15yrs. I can do most of everything like bathing, cleaning, hair done, medication, transferring, use hoyer lift and much more. I took care a wonderful elderly lady she was 113 years young. She passed away on the 29th of July 2015. I believe she is the oldest person in the Monterey Peninsula. I have the most experience from this gorgeous lovely lady.

I have many years experience looking after the elderly and disabled in their homes. I specialize in those living with Alzheimer's Disease, early onset dementia, Parkinson Disease, as well as keeping elders company with walks, playing scrabble, or other activities. Families employ me to assist when needing those extra set of hands to help with everyday things to staying with family members that need hands-on care such as bathing, assistance with dressing as well as companionship and running errands. I own a car with a clean drivers license. I have excellent references. I am a committed, loyal person with sound judgment and high ethics. I have worked with several local home care agencies that require background checks, fingerprints, and all other necessary documents to work as a certified caregiver in the state of CA. I have these documents with me. My pay is dependent on the job description and hours required for the time I am needed. Let us see if I can be of service to you and your family. Best, Meherbani

I became a cna because my great grandma who raised me became a diabetic and had to have both of her legs amputated. I was around 11or 12. She learned how to walk with new prostetics and her walker. Also I had to administer her insulin at times. She passed shortly after I turned 18. I dedicated my life to her.

I am a mother of two sons, I choose to be a caregiver/companion because I enjoy helping others, its soulful work and I believe my purpose. What makes me a great caregiver is that \\\\\\"I care\\\\\\" I am patient, organized, flexible and empathetic. I became a caregiver at a young age as second from the oldest of seven children, helping my mother was natural and important to me. Later in life she had a stroke in her late 30's, I continued to care for her throughout her life, she was my pal. Since then I have cared for seniors/veteran's in their private homes helping them, encouraging them with everyday activities, medication reminders, working with the treatment team to optimize care and comfort. I enjoy helping others in need or less fortunate than myself and the deep feeling of satisfaction it brings to me. Some personal achievements, when I was asked ( trusted) to babysit my neighbor's week old baby at the age of twelve, I was so honored ! Then at fourteen I saved a 4 year old boy who was bobbing up and down drowning in the deep end of a neglected swimming pool. I jumped into the dirty, cold, dark water in the middle of winter and saved the life of a little 4 year old twin boy. His twin sister was hysterical and the little boy was frightened but ok. I am comfortable and have worked in Human Services with all ages. I have all the necessary clearances from DOJ & CHP plus CPR & Child, plus TB to work in CA.
Hi, My yoga teacher name, since 1990, is Shankari. I no longer teach yoga, but can teach an interested person. I have 17 years experience as a Physical Therapist and am going back to work after being retired for awhile, and my P.T. license has lapsed. I have also worked as a Stress Management Specialist for the Dr. Dean Ornish Program for Reversing Heart Disease Without Drugs or Surgery, teaching yoga and meditation twice per day at week-long retreats in Berkeley, CA. I also took care of my 95 year old, frail, elderly mother who was completely incontinent and wheelchair bound for 9 months in 2015. I am seeking a companion job with a developmentally disabled person, not a hands-on caregiver job. I would enjoy assisting an ambulatory adult or child with activities of daily living, going on outings, and playing games. I am currently working for the Homeless Garden Project, an amazing organization that employs, trains, and helps find housing for homeless people in the Santa Cruz area. I have a cute little 8 pound maltipoo doggie, very well-behaved, who is also available for fun and emotional support.
