I truly believe to be an excellent caregiver you must put the clients needs & feelings first. I strive to make sure all my clients maintain their sense of normalcy and dignity. I have experience with caregiving for clients that are under the age of 10 & over the age of 80. On a personal note: I was my mothers caregiver for the last 2 years of her life. She was on & off of hospice while she battled a liver & lung disease. Currently, I'm a Respite Worker for clients that have a range of health issues. (Downs Syndromes, Deafness, Autism Spectrum Disorder) I have completed my Senior Caregiver training required by the state of California to attain a license as a home care aide. I have also completed several Carelinx education courses & I am open to taking any class my client might request. My goal is for future clients & their families to feel ease of mind that I am a capable caregiver.

When I was applying for different kind of jobs (manufacturing, warehouse) where I had more than 15 years experience, I was offer a position as caregiver of a lovely 90 years old lady, we got along since the first moment and became her part time cg. I found out that I have that special touch so much needed when working with elderly. I treat them with respect. I know it must not be easy losing your independence and if at home, seeing "strangers" coming into your house and practically take control over your stuf. That's why I like asking them (when posible) how they like things being done in their house.

Caregiving has been my job for over five years now and I stayed on this kind of job because I love caring elderly persons. I treat my patients with extra loving care as if my own family member.

I am a very compassionate person. I care for all clients as I would care for a family member. It is very important to me to make sure all clients have the dignity and respect they deserve. Caregiving has made me feel like I have a sense of purpose in this world and it makes me go home everyday feeling like I have accomplished something meaningful. I have been a caregiver since I graduated high school in 2003, and although I have tried working other jobs, caregiving is the only place I have felt fulfilled.

I even was hired to work at a Senior facility (Monte Vista). Realizing my calling was in in-home services. I chose not to accept the position. I have done several years of private in-home care. I have alot care to give to my clients.., personalizing to each of their needs. I have experienced several types of clients. Ranging from Dementia to a Brain Tumor Hospice client. Hello..first off I want to express my belief and reasons for why I'm in this field. People of all ages need assistance. .whether it be temporary or permanent. I have been there when it has come to having babies (they grown now) after surgery, or a long time position of assistant. I love what I do, I have compassion for the hurting and patience. I have references for that :) I'm a License massage therapist that believes even touch heals. Whether young or old. I have sense of humor..don't mind in repeating myself a million times ( that's the patience I have ) when it comes to alziemers Love to stay busy,love to read,LOVE TO COOK, I am a believer In Jesus Christ! my children are grown now,I am a grandma..I schedule my time with my family on my daysoff. Prefer to be on a consistent schedule so it doesn't cause confusion to my client or outside life. Dependable..never late ( I have proof from clients :) ) And can be in most cases..flexible. I am proud to say that being a caregiver, i became a very very understanding person dealing with clients. I developed a close bond to my clients, spending time with them listening to their stories. I give them respect and dignity. To be able to bring some sunshine and smiles and laughter to my clients is already a big achievement to me. I worked with clients with dementia, COPD. My job includes help with medication, bathing/grooming, meal preparation, light housekeeping, run errands. I am registered with HomeCare Aide of California, CPR registered and a CNA.
