Besides experience and knowledge I acquired from nursing school, helping others has always been my passion. I find joy and fulfillment knowing I make a difference in someone else's life. I am patient and willing to adjust to the needs of my clients. I try to put myself in their shoes, to try and understand them. I treat my patients with love and respect, and with dignity, just like how I would want to be treated if I was in their same situation. Since I was a young age, I have always been interested in helping other people. I enjoy helping others who have trouble helping themselves especially the elderly. I completed my vocational nursing studies in 2012 and it was at that point I realised that helping people is my calling. I love that being a caregiver, you can make a difference. It's a rewarding experience providing care and assistance to those who are no longer able to do so and to know that I have done my job right when I see smiles on their faces. The moments that make me most proud of as a care giver is when I see my patients doing well, seeing their happy faces.

Hi! My name is Joanne and I've been in the nursing field for 15 yrs. I started working at a Skilled Nursing Facility for a few years until a friend encouraged me to try a home health setting which I am now more comfortable working from a home environment. I have experience with Alzheimer's and Dementia patients and I enjoy working with older people in providing emotional support, compassionate care, & helping them maintain their independence in their homes.

In healthcare being loving and caring are the strongest personality traits I believe an individual can have. But there are other things that rank high in this category also. These things include patience, empathy, and sympathy among other things. Watching smiles on their faces, talking about their past which keeps them encouraged. Even when the day seems never ending there's always that feeling in your heart someone is depending on you and appreciates the hard work that you put in for caring for their loved ones. That's what I enjoy most about being a caregiver and a personal achievement I am proud of.

My name is Michelle, I am currently working as a Licensed Vocational Nurse in the Los Angeles area. I enjoy working with other people and seeing growth and progression in individuals. I became a nurse because I find happiness in offering help to those that need it. I find that taking care of the elderly is a very rewarding feeling.

I love and enjoy being a care giver. It all started when i had a child who was born with medical problems. I was her care giver at home and in the hospital for years. I started caregiving after that because it gives me a satisfaction helping someone who can't help themselves. I love it and enjoy it.

I got into caregiving because it is one of the most rewarding things a person can do and I have the passion for putting others first. It is enough for me to make it all worthwhile just by helping others and making changes that benefits someone living with a disability.

I really enjoy the elderly. Since I was a young girl I would sit with them ,talk with them, help them with chores around the house and always felt inspired as I listen to their stories and the wisdom that they have. When I grew up I became an Lvn And assisted them with more technical things like wound care and medications. In order to be a good caregiver you need to be able to listen and communicate compassion, understanding and caring to each individual person. I am very happy that I have continued to be a caregiver and truly enjoy it and grow from it daily .

My love in life is taking care of others!! I have always been this way... since I was a kid I have always said I wanted to either be a Doctor, a Vet or a Nurse. Unfortunitly I was not education inclined when I was a kid so the aspirations of being a DR or a VET went quick...But now I work as a Nurse... I used to work in a facility but now I work with a wonderful family as a Private Duty Nurse. I can honestly say my job makes me happy. There are days that are stressfull but on the most part I have a pleasure and a great joy doing what I do!! I plan to still continue my education to become an RN. This is gonna take awhile but with the drive to suceed and keeping your eye on the goal I believe you can achieve anything at any time in your life!!
