I am a reliable and patient person who provides first class care. I have worked in various roles where the need to work closely with other people, follow strict rules and procedures and demonstrate understanding and empathy have been required. Caregiving has been a rewarding second career. After retiring from the banking industry, my sister who has been an RN for many years inspired me to follow down this path. It is a very rewarding experience, helping people in need and being there for their families.

I am native to San Jose, I am a 3rd generation born in San Jose. I have been in the medical field for 38yrs. 25 yrs just doing home care. Caring for the elderly and being an advocate for them has been in my heart for many years. I have enjoyed working with them and have been blessed to share many of their journeys. I have encountered hundreds of elderly over the years, and have learned much from them. As the years pass, I will continue to serve those who are sick, elderly, or are coming to an end of their own journey. All though I prefer a live-in position, I am also available for hourly work at this time, with a 6 to 8 hr. minimum a day. If you have any additional questions for me, please feel free to ask.

I feel like I am a great caregiver because I have such a big heart. I want to make people smile and laugh even when they aren't feeling the best or up to it. What attracted me to being a caregiver was knowing that I could be someone that counted on. Being a caregiver is not the easiest job in the world. You come across mini different scenarios that you may or may not know how to react to. You have to tell yourself you have to do what's best for the resident. You have to be somebody that is able to give them support through it all. Being a caregiver also has great benefits to knowing that you can go home and think I made that person's day. Or even such as I was the last person they talked to before they said goodbye. I was the last person that they wanted holding their hand as they passed. Bing caregiver is more than just a nurse. Being a caregiver is a completely different lifestyle.

I started as a child development teacher and sense then i know that helping and caring for others would be my filed. I am patient,caring , respectful and I like to listen. Safety is on top of my caring priorities .The satisfaction of helping others makes me feel good each and every day. I have been in the caring filed for 7+years. I am most proud of my Nurse Assistant certification and continue to look for whys to better my self.

I am passionate about my work as a Caregiver/Cna I understand the weight of importance of treating others with kindness, dignity and respect. I understand the necessity for trust and reliability. For the past six years I have been working as an in home personal Caregiver/CNA for multiple individuals with various needs and under various conditions my most recent employment was working for an Elderly Adult Day Care. I have provided care for people of all ages, both women and men; I am comfortable and experienced with elderly individuals, people with cognitive impairments, persons with disabilities, and the care of individuals living with chronic illness. I have a clear background, a clear driving record, and a reliable and insured vehicle for transportation to and from work, as well as to run errands or to transport clients to appointments. My Knowledge, experience, skills, and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Light Housekeeping, Bathing/Showering, Dressing/Grooming, Companionship, Errands, Transfer Assistance, Incontinence Care, Alzheimer's Care, Dementia Care, Medication Reminders, Meal Preparation, Grocery Shopping, Assist with Eating, Hospice Care, and Hoyer Lift.
