I'm a great caregiver because I am empathetic and sympathetic yet firm. I believe being a mother has given great balance in how I care for others. I love one on one care and enjoy having conversations and learning about others. My favorite thing about caregiving is the bond and love we get to earn from those we care for. I'm better in person and would love a chance to meet with potential families and see if the fit is good for everyone.
I joined the healthcare field because I like working with people. I started as a Corpsman in the U.S. Army and have enjoyed a variety of situations. As a Caregiver I enjoy helping others and learning the ongoing items and issues in medicine. Besides being certified by the U.S. Army as a Medical Specialist/Medical Assistant, I also have a Colorado CNA license and a QMAP qualification.
My goal is to help people compassionately negotiate the demands of illness or aging, using my skills as a caregiver, personal assistant and alternative medical practitioner. I have 25 years of experience and here are some of the services I can provide: care giving, personal care such as bathing, dressing, colostomy changes, and physical therapy exercises. I can provide light housework, errands, transportation to doctors' appointments, and cooking. For administrative tasks, I have managed caregivers and have done organizational projects, paperwork, billing and payroll. I also offer Reflexology and Reiki to those who would like to have it.
I am an understanding caregiver. I have naturally been a caregiver role my entire life. I took care of my dad since I was 17. In a few days I will be 50. My dad ended up getting dementia and I had to put him in a home. I am a caregiver to a friend for perineal dialysis certificate. I have a Medical Assistant certificate and Qmap
I became a caregiver because I love to help people in need. Getting to help people be more independent with some of their life skills. I went to college to become a Medical Assistant and I got it done and I was ready to help people. I'am a really caring person I love helping others in even if I go without.
