I have been a certified CNA and Caregiver for 17 years. I earned my High School Diploma in 2006 and also went to Goodwin College; majoring in Human Services with a GPA of 3.59. I am also CPR, First Aid and meds certified. I love and enjoy working with the elderly and not so elderly. I enjoy listening to their stories and wisdom and their understanding. I like to treat people the way I want to be treated. I also have respect for everyone's culture, religion and sexual orientation. I also treat people with kindness, respect and dignity.

I believe that my expertise is treating each one of the clients as how i would want to be treated with respect and to know that they matter. What attracted me to be a caregiver is my great grand mother who live until she was 100 years old. Caring for people, i love it when i can see a smile. I feel I am a great caregiver because I care about the person as a whole and do not treat them as an object. Also, in almost 25 years I have a wide variety of experiences in a variety of settings. I have taken care of all age groups and have enjoyed all of it for various reasons. I began 5 years after my mother had passed and I had assisted in her care. My training began after leaving the printing industry. Now, I have come to a pinnacle and am attempting nursing school.

Ever since the age of five years old when my Mom asked me what I wanted to become and my answer was "Mom, I want to be a Doctor because I want to take care of old people and I love them" and of course she laughed. Years later I ended up in numerous occupations, but at the end I found my way back to nursing (smile)- Need I say more? It gives me great pleasure to listen to the elderly. Moreover, their stories are precious and rare each unique experience that "cannot" be replaced (priceless commodity) and most importantly the joy and knowledge it gives me deep within (humbled). Looking back on all my choices I can honestly say that I have no regrets; Especially, since it has mold my life and made me who I am today. My mother would have been proud of me when I achieved my licensed (CNA) and knowing that it does not stop there since I was already enrolled in a nursing program in College and eventually I will go back since I took a long break after she passed.
