What makes me a great caregiver is that I'm a caring loving person and I care about my clients/residents and how they feel, I'm a very understanding person, working as a caregiver I consider it my calling not just a job ,I become a caregiver due to being encouraged by my grandmother who is no longer with me, giving her the best care in her last moments and hearing her say you will make a good nurse someday really encouraged me to get in this field, It became a part of me and every person I care for I remember what my granny said to me, So I do it to the best of my ability and each person I touch I try to make a difference in their lives, what I like about being a caregiver is comforting my clients, making them feel safe and secure being there for them just listening to them, understanding their needs ,comforting them and knowing I'm making a difference in their lives. My Personal Achievement is I'm proud I can make someone mom or dad smile and to hear that I'm doing a great d job with their family member, and being able to make a difference is what makes the difference

I enjoy the smile on my elderly face and knowing that they are happy comfortable and content with the care they received. I am most proud of one lady I had the pleasure of taking care of, when I first got to her she was depressed and on the verge of giving up on life but I was able to turn that around with just simply caring and just bringing joy fun and love back into her life, I took care of her for almost 2 years the family thought she wasn't going to live too much longer they even admitted her to hospice and when they hired me to care for her they could not believe how happy and healthy she had become.

I have been in this field for about 30 years and I enjoy my profession. I'm a caring and kind hearted person and nothing gives me more joy than taking care of others and treating them in the absolute best way as if they were apart of my own family. One of my most proud achievement besides taking care of others is being able to help my daughter accomplish her own dreams of owning her own business. I'd be the perfect fit for any family to have me as their caregiver because I love to spread my love and joy to those around as I give them nothing shy of my best and being apart of their family while being reliable to them in more ways than one. As I always say only the best is good enough and nothing beats strength and perseverance.
