Hi. I'm stacy. I've been a care giver for 10-years now. And I love taking care of the less fortunate and the elderly. I've taken care of quadriplegics, ALS, Alzheimer's, dementia, brain trauma. And everything and everyone in between. I do have my background complete thru the state of Florida
I have been a nurse for many years. I took care of my elderly parents for the past 7 years. They needed different levels of care from just monitoring their medications and going to dr visits with them to living with my mom and being her full time caregiver. I love older people and have a lot of patience. I loved being a caregiver on a one to one ratio and this is the best. I have experience with dementia and Alzheimer's disease. I have worked in the health care arena for 45+ years. I have clinical, managed care, and Home Health Care experience.
I'm a very outgoing, energetic, athletic, fit person who is very compassionate and caring, someone who puts others before himself, a father of 5, 3 girls and 2 boys. I've been in the field over 10 years and have reliable references to support the fact. I enjoy being able to help others, with everyday tasks, getting back into the community, making home cooked meals, or just being there as someone to talk to. I've worked with seniors, developmentally disabled, dementia patients, and disabled veterans. I'm a well rounded individual with ambition, and experience in all aspects of the healthcare field. An added bonus is that I love to cook as well. My family and I moved from Denver to Florida just to experience life and it's been one of the best life choices I could have ever made. We've been here almost two years now, and look forward to connecting with families and making new friends.
My health care career started caring for my father who struggled with the debilitating effects of Parkinson's disease. Six years later, I decided health care was something I was good at, enjoyed, and found rewarding. I went to school and obtained my CNA license. I worked several years at Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Skilled Nursing Facilities. I have worked with several CareLinx families providing compassionate support and reliable care.
I became a caregiver because I have experienced family members and close friends that went through difficult and painful illnesses. I saw a need for a person who could advocate as well as be there in a loving, compassionate, and dedicated way. I also had friends who were going through the same experience with their loved ones. I am very thankful for the 11 years experience I have had. In these years I have learned the necessities and responsibilities it takes to be a quality caregiver who is loyal and highly regards the client's integrity, safety, well being, and comfort. I believe in helping a person to remain independent as long as they are capable. I am very knowledgeable in multiple levels of care giving including Alzheimer and Dementia and have a level 2 background check through AHCA. I am drug free and smoke free. I am good with pets and enjoy cooking.
I start taking care of my grandparents at a young age and I had a great act for it and I kept doing it I've always loved taking care of people.. I'm a people's person .... I have a great personality and and I love making conversation with a client or just reading to them. My favorite thing about being a caregiver is that the stories that you get told I love learning things that I never knew.

As far as a personal achievement, every day when I know I made a difference in someones life even if its just a smile. As far as Im concerned ,lets see love to cook, garden, animals, board games, cards, arts&crafts, the beach, movies and animals

Being a Primary care-giver for your loved one can be a very stressful time for a family, especially when you are still trying to maintain your own home, job & your children. I have the experience, empathy & expertise of relieving you of some of this burden. I really love the elderly & will treat your loved one as if they were my own. I first became a CNA when I was 15 years old, so I do have a lot of experience. In my most recent case , I was working for a private agency, in a private facility caring for a 99 year young woman with macular degeneration (Blindness) and hearing loss, with typical heart problems for her age, & slight dementia, requiring 24 hour care. We dressed her, cooked for her, reminded of medications, walked with walker for exercise, attended Dr. appointments & also used a wheelchair. we went on daily outings outside in the fresh air, & attending many facility activities. I had been with her for about 1-1/2 years. Prior to that, I cared for another elderly woman with severe chronic, dementia, it was extremly challenging & through working directly with the Hospice nurses I was able to learn so much more about this debilitating disease, how to handle different situations, & comfort the family at the same time. I was with her for a little over a year before she sadly passed away. And prior to that I took care of an 89 year old woman, for about 2 years, she was living in her home with her son & his family, during the days while they worked. cooking, light cleaning, medication reminders, dressing, bathing and all over just keeping her company. I can provide references from the families upon request & I have passed a current background check. I am very reliable. Hours are flexible to the familiy's needs. I am available for weekends also. Thanks for looking, hope to be in touch soon ! Feel free to contact me with any questions you might have. Ph # 727-408-1068
