What makes me a great caregiver is being empathetic and sympathetic. One has to have compassion and understanding to work with patients and and the elderly. I have patience and tolerance which is also a necessary trait to understand what a person is going through. I am very reliable, dependable, trustworthy and take pride in my work as a Nursing Assistant. I have over 15 years experience working with the elderly and would not trade it. It makes me happy when i can naturally care for my patient and make them happy and comfortable. I do enjoy my job as a caregiver and working to the best of my ability. I love caring for any age group I started off at daycare I am a teacher assistant after having my daughter,I wanted to do more so I went for my PCA all my clients love me I'm a happy person will go out my way to get the job done. I love hearing the story's of the clients life. I like make the family feel like their love one is in great and safe care. My personal achievement was to move to another state with my daughter alone.

I feel that I am a great caregiver because I have taken care of my parents both lived with me until they are deceased I became a caregiver because I like helping out elderly people that's in the need of help and sometime their family members aren't there to assist them what I like about caregiving is that you get to learn new people meet new people and help out new people my most proud moment was when I was servicing a Miriam she was 89 years old with Alzheimer's bed-bound so I had to do everything for her I had to wash feed dress reposition take out of bed and several other task which I enjoyed Miriam never spoke from the time I started working with her after working with her for maybe a year she finally spoke to me and said thank you that was a real proud moment for me because even though she couldn't speak she knew that I took care of her well and treated her well she grown to love me and are grown to love her as well

I love to work with people . I'm actually enrolling in school to become a RN dialysis .

I became a caregiver for the simplicity - I don't say that meaning that care-giving is a simple job, yet I feel that caring for others is what my calling is. I am a woman and I have the built in instincts for care-giving. For instance, older people with Alzheimers and dementia need a different kind of care than someone that is recovering from a heart attack or stroke. I am not saying the latter are lesser medical issues, but someone who isn't "in their right mind" may need me to be their version of a wife, sister, daughter, granddaughter, etc. If I can make their day by portraying to them things that make their days pass a little easier, then that's what I will do. I takes a persuasion unlike any other to take care of those in the latter stages of these diseases. I also feel that it takes a special person to take care of anyone in need and I know I am that person. It has taken me too long to come to my calling but I am here now and willing to help in any way possible. Thank you for your time and consideration. I am a people person I love elderly. I am patient, loveable, caring, good listener. I don't choose to be a caregiver. I have a calling to be a caregiver. I'm a pastor's wife I deal with people all the time. In my ministry I created a ministry just for the elderly. So I can make sure that they are well taking care of. Since I was a little girl I enjoyed spending time with elderly specially my grand mothers. The achievement that made me proud is the elderly's ministry that I founded 4 years ago.
