I have been doing Caregiver work since I myself fully recovered from a massive job stroke. I've worked with Agencies, at an Assisted Living place where I was paid CNA rates based on my own life experiences. Worked as a Personal Private Caregiver through personal references. I find being a Caregiver to be a very rewarding experience.
My name is Ashley Wiebe. I am 29 years old and a wife and mother of 4 beautiful children. In my free time I like to sit down and read a good book. What makes me a great caregiver is that I believe the client is #1. Their needs are my job and it is my job to make sure he/she is happy and comfortable. I am loyal, reliable, patient, dependable, on-time, caring, observant, and a great listener. I was a nanny for 15 years so I have always had a passion to take care of someone if that was a child or adult. What really got me interested in becoming a caregiver was after my grandmother passed away and I helped take care of her while battling Alzheimer's. It was eye opening for me and I wanted to learn who to become better at caregiving. I really enjoy most from my job is the relationship that builds between me and a client. Having fun and bringing joy to their day and mine.
What makes me a great caregiver is the fact that I have a big heart. I am willing to help others and care for them. Not only am I doing my job, but I create a bond with my clients, it is more than just a job. Being there to comfort them and hands-on when needed. What attracted me to being a caregiver is growing up I watched my grandfather need the help. I enjoyed being there for him to the point where he felt comfortable enough to be in the state he was in. The most exciting part of being a caregiver is creating that bond with my clients to the point where they want me to come back. It is not always about being there for just the job and them needing help , I like being open to them and more like a friend then an employee. I am proud of helping others. I know that with my ability to be there for others good things will come upon me.
I became a caregiver over ten years ago. While my parents began to age and I would help them out I found that I really liked doing it.The satisfaction of being able to do for others grew my passion to help people that can't help themselves and their families also.Right now I an enrolled in school to get my Assoc degree in health and human services to persue my passion for seniors and veterans.
I have a been a personal caregiver for over 15 years I started out working as a Cna in nursing home and I thoroughly enjoy and love the helping others out. It is very fulfilling to me knowing I can help out in any way I can by just simply being there when they need someone. In addition to providing companionship, I can help monitor medications, prepare delicious meals, keep home and laundry clean, transport to Doctors appointments, etc. Your loved one will be in good hands when they are with me.
When my mother was ill, I was the one she would call to make her scrambled eggs. I took her to the swimming pool and hot tub to get exercise and relaxation. I cut her hair, took her to doctor's appointments and then lunch, and generally gave her some companionship. As I dusted her knickknacks, she told me where each was from. Mom died in 2002. When dad was ailing, some of my family tried to move him into assisted living, but he wanted to stay in his own home. I gave up my apartment and moved in with him, while working in publishing during the day. We had a great time together for a year and a half. Just after he died, I lost my job because I had spent too much time with dad. That evening, the daughter of a neighbor I'd assisted over the years called me, asking if I could help her mother. That began years of caregiving in which I have helped people stay in their homes, and enjoy life. I've brought my keyboard and played hymns and popular songs, singing with them and laughing. As a caregiver, I am simply happy to help my people stay in their own familiar setting. I believe the way I interact with them makes them happy. And my cooking makes them extremely happy! I built my cooking experience on my mom's, then learned to cook for fewer than 8 people! I edited three "Taste of the Country" cookbooks, working with a professional dietician who taught me many ways to fit dietary needs while providing tasty food.
A great caregiver is one who is skilled, experienced, and possesses the human qualities of compassion, patience, caring and understanding. He or she is essentially some one who genuinely likes people and has a need to serve. I became a caregiver because I like to take care of people and truly think I do an excellent job. I like to make people happy and see their smiling faces. My most challenging and rewarding job was taking care of a lady who was bedridden for over three years before she died and needed considerably attention. I also worked cooperatively with the hospice team. I have a degree in art and bring this ability to enrich my companionship with my clients.
I am a very compassionate loving person. Love to help people who are in need. I love doing this because when my father felt ill and my mom couldn't do it all by herself, I helped in taking care of my dad and that was how I then had the love for helping the elderly cooking, cleaning ,running errands reminding them with their medications and keeping them company, doing this brings joy to me When my dad passed on then I started working as a care giver, caring for other people with much love.

Hello, I am Becca. I am married and 4 beautiful kids. I am a hard worker and very compassionate about my job. I am a great caregiver because I love taking care of people. It probably all started when I was about 13 years old and I took care of my great great aunt. I used to help my grandma ( which was a nurse) take care of my aunt. My grandma thought that I needed to take care of people when I was older since she told me that I was so good at it. So that's exactly what I have been doing. The most thing I like about being a caregiver is that the people I take of. I love hearing their stories and hearing about their life; it's so fascinating. My personal achievement is that I get along with the tougher clients ; when everyone else seems to think they are mean or hard to do; it seems like I can do it I love the challenge you could say.
Being a caregivers is my passion. I've been a caregiver most of my life. I care and love people to be well cared for. Such as hygiene, health, hair care and how my clients might feel about things. Neve wanting them to feel left out or l only at any point! Most of all feeling safe and secure. I won't leave my clients family feeling unsecured I'll be their for you when I'm due to arrive ten minutes early or on time. Just know that you can count on me.
