I genuinely care about others, no matter the age. Outside of my wishes of being a medical assistant, I wanted to be a caregiver because I would have one-on-one time with the person. This desire of mine grew as I started working for Clark Lindsey. As a waitress, I get to know the residents to an extent. The reason I joined Synergy (home health care), was to be a companion to residents that may not have that or any type of care as they used to. Knowing that they don't get to see their loved ones as much as they want to, I feel even closer to them because I feel like I can be that person for them-someone who is close to them, cares for them, provides safety, and to really listen and have interest in them. For the client that I currently have as well as others in the past, I learn a lot of life experiences from them and I love to see their eyes light up when they tell me parts of their past as if they are reliving it again and again. Lastly, my personal achievements that I'm proud of happens at Clark Lindsey and with a client I used to have. At Clark Lindsey, when residents would come up to me (when I'm working, or just visiting) telling me that they always enjoy seeing me, always makes my day. Also, recently with a client, I aided in the recovery of one walking again. Even though, I don't see him anymore, I'm happy that he is with his wife and truly happy.

I enjoy taking care of and helping others. It is rewarding to know that I have helped someone in need. I have 11 yrs of customer service experience managing a small healthcare facility.

Because I am a very compassionate person, patient and fine seniors and elderly people very interesting to spin time with, the thaught of being able to help someone that truly appreciate the help we give. Being able to say I've spent 30s years taking care of older people and have enjoyed every bit of it. Whatever job I held in taking care of seniors and elderly persons I committed myself and gave a 100% to my job.

I absolutely love elders they are so adorable and sweet and kind and i just love being around them and helping them when they cant do things on they own. I never asked or thought about being a caregiver at the age i started but i liked it anyways because it was with my grandma till she died but i had other family members too and every since then any time i had of my own i would help willingly.

I have been a caregiver for a little over two years now and have learned a lot. I have had experience in a nursing home, a hospital, and a group home. When I first started out I was very unsure about my job. I knew that I wanted to help people in need but didn't know if this was going to be the job for me. The longer I am in the medical field the more I love my job. I put 100% into my job and take care of my clients/residents. I am loyal, trustworthy, and very dependable. I have been raised to always treat others like you would want to be treated, respect everyone, and be kind. I remember while I was working in the nursing home I loved talking with the residents, they had a lot of cool fun stories of their lives. In all I am very compassionate about my job. At the end of the day it puts a smile on my face knowing I have made someone smile today.

My name is Patience,being a CNA for 8years and I love what I do. The elders are the center of my life. What I love being is the joy and happiness I see on the faces of my clients. I believe our elders need all the love in the world,need to be taking care of and have fun too. I just love the smile on their faces when I walk in the room,this makes me happy knowing that I'm doing the right thing.

I am easy going and love helping others. I have been in the medical field for 13 years. My grandfather helped me want to get in to the medical field from his accident and time in a nursing home. I felt it was a way of giving back. I love seeing the joy of being with someone who doesn't have family and just being a listening ear for them.

Hi! I am a current nursing student at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville but am transferring to the UofI in may. I'm moving back to my hometown of Champaign, IL. I have 3+ paid years of experience of being a certified nursing assistant. I have worked everywhere from cancer centers to nursing homes to home health care. Theres not much I haven't treated. I'm confident that I can provide the upmost care for yourself (or loved ones) as I put my patients first through and through.
