I have over 10 years of caregiver experience. I started off as a caregiver to make extra money then I fell in love with the job and the people I care for. Now I'm a full-time caregiver going to school to open my very own elderly day center.

Hello, my name is Ala and I’m a CNA with more than three years of experience. I chose a CNA job because I took care of my grandmother when I was a teenager. Since then, I dreamt about working with geriatric people and helping those who are in need. CNA is a job where mercy, compassion, and wisdom of life play a huge role. This profession carries with it not only assistance to specific individuals, but also sets an example for the humane attitude of man to man. Other than the impossibility to perform activities of daily living, the main psychological problem of the elderly person is loneliness. The CNA worker is expected to help people accept their own old age, find themselves at this stage of life, and prolong their vitality.
