I am 48 years old and have the ability to provide daily/weekend care. I am a gregarious, patient and an easy going individual. I have always been drawn to service to others. I started services 28 years ago with the elderly, home bound and in facilities. I later became a foster parent to high behavioral multiple diagnosis' teen girls and was quite successful with the children I had. Afterwards, I became a case manager overseeing children in foster care and working directly with the biological parents in order to complete the needed changes on the plan of care to return the children. During this time, I also worked with hoarders and was successful with these individuals. When the agency I was working for closed, I went to work as a Director of a residential and day service facility for adults with disabilities. Due to the owners of this facility not being in state, the license was not renewed and the company closed. Continuing, I worked as a live in care coordinator for an adult until my services were no longer needed. I believe that the need to be needed is great within me. I care and communicate well in regards to all my clients and do whatever I can to give them the quality of life that they need and deserve. I take care of my client and their home. I make doctor's appointments, follow through with the family after those appointments, grocery shopping, medication set up and distribute, personal care, meals, all things that your family member may need and you know that I will take care of these things and take them off of your plate. Over the last few years I have worked with several clients who had hip surgery or hip replacement. Through consistency and continuity of care, those clients were able to make full recoveries, good success with physical therapy and able to move forward with life while remaining in their home. If desired, I do have references available.
I would say that my love for what I do is what makes me a great care provider. I like to get to know my clients, and listen to their live stories. I became a Caregiver because I believe that it enables me to make a difference in people lives. I believe the best way to show care is to give care. I like being a Caregiver because it enables me to meet a lot of new people and make a positive change in their lives. A personal achievement for me is the fact that I wake up everyday trying to be a better person than I was yesterday.
I'm a very selfless, fun, caring, compassionate person. I know how to balance my work life with a little fun to make my care techniques something to look forward to every time I come to help you! I love being a caregiver because helping people has always been a huge passion. I always try to put myself in the other person's shoes and really think to myself, "how would i feel if i were them?" And that right there has been one of the biggest motivations for me hoping that I get to improve someone's life in one way or another.

I've always had a passion for helping other and was always compassionate about anything that was influenced/suggested no matter if it was big or small. I became a caregiver because I'm dependable and when they feel like a little of their independence has been lost I'm committed to reassuring them that they are in good hands. I let the person that I'm caring for know I'm nearby and willing to guide them every step in when especially when help is need the most.

I love children, I just recently had a very close child taken at the hands of cancer and cannot handle seeing children in those type of states. I little bit about me. I hold a license in practical nursing, in good standings, with an IV certification and current CPR. I currently work as a hospice nurse a few hours a week, doing regular scheduled skilled nursing visits as well as continuous care. I absolutely love what I do, caring for others. A little about my background prior to nursing. I spent 11 years in the military, where I learned invaluable skills and work ethics. My intriguing, morals, values, alongside my work ethics make me the passionate person I am.
