Hello! My name is Malaysia, i prefer to go by Lay. I have Three years experience in Homecare. Im currently a Nursing student at Manchester University. I am certified in AED/CPR. I am also HHA/PCA certified. I enjoy working with my clients because growing up i had a grandparent with Dementia and it was hard. Using my experience and personal relations, i knew i wanted to help others in similar situations. I believe you should be careful before you allow anyone into your home especially those that only believe theyre doing a "job". I take pride in my work and i take care of my clients, i treat them as if im their family. I am a sister and daughter before anything.

I am very hard working and honest person who takes pride in home care. I have worked for many agencies over the past 6 years. I have decided it is time for me to go off on my own and do private in home care because I have been told by many of my clients that I am very good at my job. This is where my heart truly is. Over the 6 years working in home care, I have never had any complaints, and that encourages me to do my job even better. Along with knowing the feeling that I am giving someone piece of mind by providing client safety, means so very much to me. I'm a reliable person with a big heart, I very passionate about this field because as a little girl growing up I always wanted to help others. When my grandma became ill, and needed care I was so young but I helped out. Now that I'm older with the proper qualification and training I willing to go over in beyond the duties and give them the quality care they deserve.

What makes me a good caregiver / CNA because I have warm heart and a caring person and I like to see people happy and make them feel good about their self. The reason why a good caregiver because I care of their well-being and try to make it easy as possible for them. I been doing this type of work for 20 something years and i love to see people happy and making them feel better . I am proud of myself by helping this one family with their sister who is totally incapacitated. But I got her out to family gathering like to the park, zoo and so on. I love to see a smile on her face every day I work with her so when I move away it hurt me so bad but I still keep in touch with her and the family. Well I am looking for and evening shift like from 3pm to 9pm Monday through Friday due to I work in the morning. Now like I said in the beginning I love what I do and I am try to better educate myself with my CNA classes I'm dedicating and I take my job serious now you all have a blessed and good day.
