Approximately 12 years ago, I became my mother's Caregiver after she came home from Rehab for a major stroke. I realized how rewarding it was to feel the satisfaction of really helping someone. In the past 9 years, I have worked as a Home Health Aide and CNA, providing many services to families and their loved ones, including (but not limited to) companionship, transportation, meals, light housekeeping, pericare, input/output, taking and recording vitals, catheter care, colostomy care, medication reminders, assistance with bathing, showers, getting dressed, and oxygen maintenance. My special focus has been with Alzheimer's and Dementia care. I am a CNA and certified in CPR and First Aid. As a Christian CNA, your loved ones peace of mind, comfort and health is my priority.
Hi my name is Julie:) I became a caregiver after helping my own parents. I have been caregiving for over 10 years. I didn't realize there were so many people in need. I have learned so much and continue learning. I'm so passionate about caregiving for I also was in a wheelchair the first years of my life as a child. Now I'm healthy and strong, but I know what it feels like to be dependent on people and my best strength is to anticipate your needs before you have to ask. I lived in California all my life. I just moved to Kentucky. I took care of my beautiful mom and a wonderful lady for over 6 years. They both passed away within 6 months of each other, broke my heart to pieces. I have family in Kentucky and decided to move. I've been here 2 weeks and ready to start my life. When your caregiving, your a care provider, friend, advocate, and grow so close and love the people you take care of. This profession has enriched my life, and it's my calling. I look forward to meeting you:)
Patient, compassionate, and understanding are all words to describe my work ethic. I've had quite a bit of experience with many different patient types, and I believe it's my calling. I truly want to make a difference in peoples lives, and what a better way, than to pay forward with a safe and comfortable life for the patients/residents. I'm CPR-certified.
After taking care of my great grandmother and watching my grandmother be a nurse for 18 years I was hooked. I love to be the person who makes my pt lives better or just a smile on their face. I love meeting and caring for new individuals and being apart of their life, care and family.
my name is Madison, I became a caregiver originally to get more experience for nursing, I love what I do because I love helping and taking care of everyone. I'm a great listener, I'm very people oriented, and I'm always willing to help. I have done this certain job for a year now and I am certainly going to further my education!
As a caregiver, it is one of my core beliefs to serve those who need my help the most as a servant of God. I believe I was put on this Earth to help people and all living creatures, and while ultimately, I'm training to be a veterinarian, I know that when I work as a caregiver, I'm doing what I know in my heart to be the best thing I can do for the people in my community and my world.
I am a mother of six beautiful children and two amazing grandchildren that I adore. I have had experience in medical offices for over 8 years. I am a junior Biology major at Northern Kentucky University. I am studying Biology in hopes to attend Physician Assistant school after graduation. I recently got certified as a Kentucky Nurse Aid, and have worked as an in home caregiver for an elderly couple. I really enjoyed staying with them, even though it was such a short amount of time. The wife had a compound wrist fracture, and the husband could not fully care for himself. I learned so much in the 5 short weeks working for them. I am truly passionate about patient care! Especially elderly patient care, I am planning on specializing in Geriatrics in PA school. Please let me know if you have any further questions! I look forward to hearing from you. ***Will get background check soon, waiting on paycheck.
My name is Jessica, I am 26 years old. I have about 4 years of experience in caring for the elderly or anyone that needs it. I have 2 children. I have been told by many patients that I am sweet, and nice. I enjoy being a caregiver because I love to make others happy, I want to take care of the ones that can not take care of their selfs anymore. My grandpa got sick with cancer and I would help him and my grandma by doing anything they needed me to. I love to hear old stories and just being a companion. My most personal achievement I am proud of is that in June of 2016 I was working at a assisted living and we got flooded, myself and 2 other workers got all the residents up around 12am and waited for the fire department to bring a boat to rescue everyone. I stuck by all the residents and waited till the water went down. I love taking care of people that need me.
