I was first introduced to home care when I was a teenager as my grandmother suffered from Breast Cancer,I became her primary caretaker,so upon my 18 th birthday I went ahead and took the CNA/HHA CLASSES.I truly love what I do,it gives me great pleasure caring for someone,also being able to care for someone who needs to be cared for,and wants to enjoy thier last year's in thier home....
I love Being a care giver because I can help someone in need and help out families in need of my assistance to care for their loved one. I started doing this because my nana had dementia and my family needed the help with her so I stepped up. I have also worked with a Parkinson's client and a stroke client. I love being someone they can count on, feel safe with.

I have 18 years of caregiver experience. I have a CNA for about 15 years. I started caring for folks because back in Africa, we care for our family members so it has been something in my nature to care for people. When I care for elderly folks, I treat them as if they were my family members. I've worked with all types of senior patients. Most patients have conditions of stroke, dementia, mentally challenged patients, cancer patient, hospice etc.
I have been a CNA caregiver for 6 years. I started caregiving when I started working as an activity assistants and helping residents with ADLs. Then I got exposed into nursing so I went towards the route of becoming a CNA and fell in love with it. I currently in school to become a RN/LPN.
