Having worked in the healthcare field for over 31 years. Caregiving for 27 years. I have found assisting people to either regain or maintain their health has been rewarding. However my most rewarding has been assisting the elderly as well as physical and or mentally challenged meet their health goals. As our population grows older, and health challenged, I feel the best respect you can give them is to assist them in maintaining as much of their independence as possible. I currently hold an Associates Degree in Healthcare Administration, I'm currently attending school seeking a bachelors of science degree in Professional Studies.

I have been a care giver pretty much since i had kids. My first born was breech with 2 dislocated hips, she was in a harness the first year of her life. She had her first hip surgery at 5 and her second at 16, my middle daughter is a 15 year ALL leukemia cancer survivor, and my youngest daughter had chairi. My mom was DX in 2016 with waldenstroms macroglobulinemia and I was her care giver for 2 years. I work in Internal medicine now and 90% of my patients are elderly and I just adore them. I listen to their stories and I have so much compassion for these fragile human beings. Caring for others the way I hope to be cared for one day is a passion of mine. I do work a full time job Monday- Friday so ideally evenings or weekends would work best for me, but I am looking to find a new job so I'm willing to go full time with a family.

Hello My Name is Tamara I'm a 26 year old single mother of one, I started a Career path to being a caregiver once my grandmother started to get older. She is my joy and raised me so i was determined to learn more so when she needs me i could help. I've worked in assisted livings and have done home care. I love what i do, i treat all my clients like my own family.

My name is Latoya Smith I have worked privately as an adult caregiver for 3 years. I've assisted adults with grooming, meal preparation and eating, distributing medications, transportation and appointments, cleaning, companionship and any other necessary needs. I decided to become a caregiver because I am passionate about the well being of all people. I enjoy providing assistance and companionship to those in need. I love to provide my clients with a familiar and trusting face. In May 2014 I graduated from Allstate Career with a diploma in Medical Assisting also receiving certification in CPR. In July 2014, I was tested by the National Phlembotomist Association and I received my certification as a Licensed Phlembotomist. December 2014 I was granted permission to set before the state examination for Medical Assisting, I am currently a Registered Medical Assistant . I plan to continue my education in the health field while taking care of people who need me.

Hi all my name is Jamie and I am 23 yes old. I've been working in the medical field ever since I was 18. I started out working in an Assisted Living here in my hometown. After working there for 2 yrs I ventured off trying a travel type of job as a Travel Medical Assistant, great job but I guess you can say I became homesick so I came home and started working locally at my current job as a Phlebotomist at Quest Diagnostics but no that's not all since I love and had a passion for the elderly I decided to pick up 2 PT jobs at private sitting agencies. So yes I love love LOVE the elderly and just love all that they have to offer. So I look forward to meeting with each of you all hoping I will be that one to provide for your loved one!

I care about the people I meet. I treat them how I want to be treated. Or someone in my family to be treated. I have experience in many fields. This experience allows me to be understanding and compassionate. I have several family members with health issues and I want to understand their problems or issues and be able to help them in any way. I love being able to take care of people. I enjoy helping them feel better, even if it just takes a smile. The achievement I am most proud of, is raising two wonderful children to be caring and giving adults.

I have been doing private care off and on for 20 years. I was raised with 3 of my great grandparents and have always been told to respect and help my elders. I feel that many people were not raised with those morals and I pride myself on being a compassionate & caring caregiver. I started out being a caregiver with just my family, and over the years I decided to further my career & education; I was a CNA by 18 years of age, then worked in that capacity for many years, then I was a phlebotomist, a drug screener, a medical office secretary, a clinical medical assistant, and now I am enrolled in college to become a RN. I am very compassionate, empathetic, and understand that elders with dementia issues require a little more care & someone who will not get offended by what they say, and one who will just talk to them with respect. Hello, I just wanted to take a little time to explain to you my passions about being a caregiver. I love the interaction with families and their loved ones. Even if the person I am caring for does not have family support that makes my interaction with them more valuable. I enjoy working with many people of different cultures, because I am always gaining better insight on how to properly care for a variety of unique individuals. It disturbs me to see anyone being mistreated and neglected. My goal is to always enhance the experience of receiving care. It is too often forgotten that it can be a very difficult adjustment for those that are use to caring for themselves or for those that are use to someone in particular caring for them but for many reasons may no longer be able to do so.
