I am a professional and supportive caregiver and nursing assistance with over five years of experience. I have experienced with serving individuals with disabilities, Elder care, medication administration, patients advocacy and support and I am Bilingual with French being my 2nd language. I work with Visiting Angels and have successfully served elders with at homes services to assist with basic and daily needs such as dressing, bathing, medication administration and reminders, meal preparation and transportation to medical appointments and others. My goal is to build trust and professional relationships with each client to provide the highest quality of care. I love helping others and I often think about the possibility of my mom needing someone to help her I could only hope that it would be someone that has a passion for helping others.

I like helping families breath a sign of relief knowing their love one is being cared for properly. I have received many thank you and hugs from siblings who appreciate the care that's being provided to their parent. I was especially proud when I had to take some time off to care for my sick mother and when I finally came back to the client I was caring for prior to leaving, her son and her daughter was so happy to see me return they gave me a big hug (even the son) and told me they hoped that I would return. The daughter was always tickled because her mother called me her friend.

My experience for caring for seniors has expanded for over 20+ years. I am a 46-year-old single women.This has been a passion of mine for many years helping and working with the seniors. I am very patient and I have a lot of compassion for seniors and there needs. Assisting with walking and light exercise. Plan and prepare meals, followed by clean-up. Monitor food expiration dates, make future meals. Make beds and change linens, as needed. Light housekeeping to include dusting and vacuuming. Assist with bathing, dressing and grooming. Laundry and ironing. Take out garbage. Run errands (pickup prescriptions, dry cleaning). Engage in physical and mental exercises. Provide medication reminders. Escort on appointments (hair salon, physical therapy, etc.). Escort to religious services or events. Maintain calendar and organize mail. Engage in activities (games, memory books). Companionship. Many references upon request.

I really enjoy being able to work with the elderly to sometimes get a better understanding. Over the years I have received my Certified Nursing Assistant Certificate, Geriatric Nursing Assistant, Med Tech Certification also a Certificate for Blood Borne Pathogens achievement. I've also work a couple of Private Duty Cases. I think I would be a good fit for a position with your company because 1 - I have had years of experience, 2 - I really wouldn't need any training unless it's some new equipment that I have used before, 3 - My personality .

I became a caregiver because I love helping people who can't quite help themselves. I also became a caregiver due to the fact that everyone is going to grow older and at some point we all will need some help. I like being a caregiver because it's rewarding and just makes me feel good to help someone else. I have been a caregiver for about 5 to 6 years now and I really enjoy what I do.
