I love taking care of elderly

I have work in the health field now for forty years. I have all ways work with the early because the love I have for them. When I was young I help take care of my Grandmother, it was then I knew I wanted to be able to help older people. I enjoy listening to there life to see there face light up when talk about the good old days. Giving my life to the LORD is my greatest achievement in my life and giving of myself to those who need me the most.

Growing up, every great grandparent, and grandparent on both sides of my family, suffered from the Alzheimer's gene. I watched and assisted with their care and witnessed their deterioration my entire childhood and adult life. Naturally, I sought genetic testing and learned I am a carrier of the gene. I am pursuing a career in medicine with a double major in Biology (for Pre-Med) and Neurosciences (studying regressive neurological diseases and mental disorders). I am also a mom of 2. I enjoy providing companionship care and have extensive experience (both personal and professional) and knowledge of senior care and dementia/Alzheimer's. I provide the same care to families that I would give to my own. I'm a driven, passionate person who enjoys reading, outdoor activities of any kind, and am an avid believer that anything is possible if we set out to achieve it. I hope that I can give your family peace of mind and comfort your loved ones in their time of need.

I was raised in a Christian home by my grandma, mom and dad. I attended a vocational tech school for High school where I studied nursing. I was a dental radiographer and expanded functions assistant for 18 years. I quit that to raise my sons during their teen years. I owned my own home day care business for 14 years. I went back to school and became a phlebotomist. After four years I was bored and went back to school to become a CNA. I have worked in hospitals and Hospice Houses. I have taken care of elderly in their homes because of cancer and/or hip replacements. I have worked in the ER on 12 hour shifts. I love taking care of people.

I graduated high school in 2008 and received my Certified Nursing assistance license. I became a care giver because I have a passion for helping others and seeing them smile. I am a very outgoing person who is always smiling. I have a 14 month old daughter who is my world, so you can say i have lots of patients. I treat all of my clients as if they were family. I give them lots of respect and help them in any way that they may need. I do not treat them as if they were babies because most of them have lived a much longer life than I have. In my six years of experience I have worked with stroke patients, Alzheimer, dementia, g-tubes, mental disorders, fall risk patients, and more.

Hi my name is Brittany Pinder. I've been a caregiver for almost 6yrs. I've worked in a facility and now I work in the clients homes. I'm patient,very compassionate, attentive, dependable and most importantly trustworthy. Since I was little I've always helped and watched family members help others. I personally get enjoyment just making a difference in someone's life. Just seeing a smile makes my day. Within the years of being a caregiver I have to say that I'm proud of being able to provide great palliative care to the elderly patients. I've helped a client reorganize their room setting to help better mobility. Ive created a girls day and did their hair and nails where they don't have the means to anymore. At the end of the day, just making them feel comfortable enough to have me in their house to help them is my greatest achievement.

What makes me a great caregiver is the heart that I was blessed with. I use to wonder what my purpose here was but I know what it is. It's to be a blessing in the life of others. I take pride in the care I give and treat each person as if they were my loved one. Not only do I do my very best to take care of each individual that I care for I make them as comfortable with me as I possibly can and also there family. The last case I had I was introduced to a doctor who needed care for her mom. They instantly fell in love with me and treated me not just as a caregiver but family. After the passing of her mom still today the doctor and I communicate at least twice a week and she stills tells me 6 months after her mom passed how much she appreciated the care I gave her mom and how much her mom loved me.
