Hello family, My name is Chukwunonso, but I usually go by "Oz" just to make everyone's life easier :) I am outgoing, playful, and keen to detail. Moreover, I have a big heart! and I always put myself in people's shoes before I say or do anything. With that being said, I have the capacity to care for your loved ones as if they are mine! My desire to become a caregiver stem from when I used to take care of my sick elderly grandmothers. I quickly realized that providing care to those who are unable was something that brought me joy, as well as a sense of purpose. I love getting to know the people I am taking care of. Building a trusting relationship is very pivotal in the overall benefit of a client's well-being. Lastly, I recently graduated (05/2022) with my B.S. Kinesiology so I am very excited about that! I am also an active member of the U.S Navy reserves, with nearly 6 years under my belt. I am simply here to serve, in any way that I can!

Before I started professionally, as a teen I cared for my disabled Aunt and elderly grandmother. As long as I can remember I have enjoyed and taken great pride in helping others less fortunate than myself. Providing care in home allows individuals to continue with a comfortable and better quality of life and that is my mission. The quality of my care provides a greater quality of life for those around me.

I have been a care giver pretty much since i had kids. My first born was breech with 2 dislocated hips, she was in a harness the first year of her life. She had her first hip surgery at 5 and her second at 16, my middle daughter is a 15 year ALL leukemia cancer survivor, and my youngest daughter had chairi. My mom was DX in 2016 with waldenstroms macroglobulinemia and I was her care giver for 2 years. I work in Internal medicine now and 90% of my patients are elderly and I just adore them. I listen to their stories and I have so much compassion for these fragile human beings. Caring for others the way I hope to be cared for one day is a passion of mine. I do work a full time job Monday- Friday so ideally evenings or weekends would work best for me, but I am looking to find a new job so I'm willing to go full time with a family.

I love taking care of the elderly that always been my dream to take care of people. It started when my grandfather was sick and I was helping my aunt taking care of him. I showed him love and showed him that I care about him and loved him dearly. I made my grandfather feel good about himself even though he was sick. I always wanted to be an caregiver because I'm a loving person, I'm a caring person, I love getting to know my patients and make my patients feel like their my grandparents, I'm a people's person, very out going. I know I would be an great caregiver because I show my companionship, I showed that I'm trustworthy and a reliable person and make my patients feel like I'm their family.

Some Personal Traits that I have as a great caregiver is Compassion,Optimism,Confidence Some things that are attracted to me is that use to care for my grandfather when he was diagnosed with lung cancer for many years before he went and also taking care of my grandmother that's what actually started me into being a caregiver because a person always need someone by their side every step of the moment no matter what the situation is even the littlest thing can make someone feel better at that very moment or even giving a hand when you can . I enjoy learned and utilizing my skills always prepared and ready to learn new things to even gain more knowledge . I'm proud that I have finish school to have a career under my belt and I'm currently attending school to gain more knowledge to become a LPN school never stop or the knowledge that you want to gain is always out ready to be taught.

I recently worked for a lovely family here in Baltimore, MD taking care of their 94 years young dad/granddad. I am a graduate of Fortis Institute's Medical Assistant Program and a Certified Medication Technician. I've been trained by The Chimes Inc. for Aging and the Special Needs of the Elderly for Direct Support Professionals, Communication Skills for Direct Support Professions, Slips and Trips and Falls for Direct Support Professionals. I also completed Driving Safety, Safe Lifting, Hazardous Communications, General Emergency Guidelines and Fire Safety Training. CPR and First Aid Certified.

I have a passion to take care of others, I' m currently working as a respite provider for medically fragile children. When I see elder people traveling alone I tend to get very upset. I have a need a want to help other, I went to school for Medical Assistance to help others.
