I can relate to clients feelings on what they are going through mentally and physically while battling their illness as I have done in caring for My Beloved Grandmother was praised for a wonderful job of doing so by her homecare team that helped me to obtain my certification as a Home Health Aide that I've enjoy doing for 17 years
My name is Cheryl. How I got started in home health care. I started out taking care of my mom at the age of 10 years old and then my father's mother around 12 years old. I love helping people and listening to how they grew up and made it to a mature age. I believe in helping and taking care of the elderly stay independent . I have been taking care of people majority of my life. It's not a job it's my duty to make sure our elderly people have a wonderful life.
I enjoy working with people and most enjoy jobs where i have one-on-one interaction with others. I enjoyed taking care of elder family members and would like to help others in this way. I like older adults and feel you can get along well with a variety of elders. I like doing work that has the potential to make a difference in someone's life. I like doing a variety of tasks in a day. I don't ever say, "that's not my job" but instead like pitching in to do whatever is needed. I like making someone smile and doing little things to make a person's day better. I take pride in your attention to detail.
Hi, my name is Latisha, I've been a caregiver for over 20 years. I chose this field from actually going to the doctor. I loved how the nursing staff catered to their patients. I enjoy meeting different personalities. I have work with all different types of personalities. I have a very extensive background in dementia and alzheimers. I have received several awards such as home health aide of the year 3 years in a row, several hospice hearts, and many hugs and thank you. I'm most proud of being able to use my skills to take care of my mom. My hospice background allowed me to help my siblings through that process. I will take care of your love one just as I would mine. I will not disappoint you.
I would like to start with my experience as i feel this is important. I have been doing home care for 19 yrs i also went to Dorsey school for patient care technician which i graduated in 2011. Can do many procedures without error. I like doing home care because you get to wrk one on one with the individual and give that one person your complete and attention. I am a caring person and treat all with respect and digninty i have good references and a well put together portfolio. I am dependable, trust worthy, kind hearted, and work hard to make someone happy. All my employments have been over 2 yrs which i still am employeed with my longest family being 13 years until the sad fact that she passed away. I think that is the most difficult part of our jobs is loosing someone you get to know and care about. I feel if im a good fit for your loved one as well as the involved family that you will not regret your choice. Hope to hear from you soon.
