I am very caring and compassionate caregiver with 8 years experience. Seeing how a family member of mine was treated in facilities throughout my child hood is what drove me to become a caregiver. Many individuals who seek a caregiver usually just need someone just to be there and not only do things that they use to be able to do but for whatever reason can not and their family has priorities of tguer own and are unable to be there and having a great caregiver not only eases the family's mind but really makes the client have something to look forward to and someone to talk to as well.
What makes me a great caregiver to me are I will go above and beyond for my residents a are whomever I work for. I am a perfectionist down to the last detail. What 1st attracted me to being a caregiver was my Grandmother she was an LPN up until her 2nd Surgery and was very proud of beinging an LPN. What solidified my beinging a caregiver are a CNA was my oldest son which put me in the role early on of becoming a caregiver He was had to have several surgeries do to a rare Gastrointestinal situation which caused him to be on An IV at all times, a feeding tube and a colostomy Bag for while but not anymore he is 16 now and will be celebrating 17 years of life in 6 month with none of the above. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is simply just the pure love of being able to help someone out period. Being able to see my 1st patient my oldest son see 16 and knowing it was partly my aiding in his care that got him to this milestone in his life is my personal achievement.
My name is Courtney Adams. I am a mother of 2 and a wonderful aid. I am a only child and my generation of family is a lot older. Growing up most of them opt to pass away at home leaving my grandmother, my mother and myself to care and comfort them. Then I knew that I was born to be a caregiver and a nurtured nurtueror. I have been a paid at a couple of hospitals and various long term care, rehab, hospice and assisted living facilites. My greatest accomplishment as a aid is seeing the faces of patients and family when I have made a patient feel better, or brought a patients pulse back. As a aid I am determined to make patients feel as good comfortable and loved as possible.
I have been a caregiver for 15+ years fresh out of high school. I became a cargiver because my grandmother had took ill and developed dementia. My family and I took alot of time to care for her in the comfort of her own home until she departed in 2009. I knew that i wanted to be a caregiver because caring for people is my life I enjoy being able to put others and meet their needs before my own. Being a caregiver was not always easy and through out the years I have learned to be compassionate, caring, loving and also very giving. And through out the years I have further my education and I have more than one certification that I can provide care for.

I'm a very loving caring, compassionate friendly, outgoing, hard working and quick learner. I've been doing care giving basically my whole life. I was raised with my morther an grandparents so it all came very naturally. From dealing with my grandmom epilepsy are my Papa Parkison in dementia I learned very quick what to do and what not at very young age. My motto is you treat others the way you won't to be treated. What I enjoy most about care giving is Everything from understanding them, the smiles the talks there nothing I don't like about it. I believe my heart makes me a good care giver..
What makes me a great caregiver is my passion to work with others. I love taking care of all types of people no matter the circumstances. I love being a caregiver because I get to make new family memebers and make them feel like they have another person they can depend upon. A person achievement I am proud of is going back to school after having my daughter and getting my CNA at a young age so that I can perfect my skills and gain the experience I need for future career as a nurse.
I have over five years experience in working as a CNA. It comes naturally when you genuinly love what you do. Providing a safe and comfortable environment. Being a good listener and patience is key. I currently work at a nursing facility and I have a fan base there!! I can tell if I'm away for to long cause they are always asking other caregivers where is Lisa? When is SHE scheduled to return? When I do report to work, I'm always given hugs and words of appreciation. It's a good feeling. Going out of my way for a person is no big deal. It's needed sometimes cause your clients are your family too.

I became a caregiver because that is what I love to do. I enjoy taking care of others. If someone is in need of something I am there to help. I have achieved a level of confidence in this career choice that allows me to help my patients at any level of care that is needed. I am a wife and a mother of three, I think I have experience in all levels of home care.
Hello my name is Nyesha Ajiboye, I have been a caregiver for 6+years. I began cargiving because I have a passion for helping people. I also began this journey because I had helped care for my mother before she passed away 16years ago, and the aids she had enspired me to want to help other families get through those hard times. I believe the empathy I have for others in their time of distress aids in me keeping my cool when I encounter stressful situations at work. For example when I encounter racial slurrs during care for a resident with dementia, I understand that they may have lived in a time where racism was acceptable. With that understanding I know that it is not something I should not be offended by, and I can continue working with them with a calm head. Being able to adjust to different environments and keeping home stresses at home, are my strengths.
With 26 years experience in providing care, I've always strived to be professional while at the same time maintaining a relaxed family environment for all of my clients. I know a little more about just how important that is. As you can see on my resume, several times I've put life on pause to care for members of my own family. I know how difficult is to find the right care for a loved one. I think being a caregiver is something I've always stuck with because of those very personal experiences and just truly being able to relate with families and how much they need to be able to trust and depend on me. I've been on both sides of the coin. I prefer to work overnights. My back isn't quite what it used to be, so overnights allow me to be vigilant and assist, but also do less lifting. My focus is always on the comfort and safety of my client.
