Hi there! My name is Courtney, I have been a caregiver for 4 years or so and love every minute of it. I have worked in assisted livings, in home care and family elder care. I have experience in bathing, showering, grooming, housekeeping, transfers(wheelchairs, chairs, etc) and dementia/alzheimers care. I have my license in medication Aide and CPR First Aide.

I am a very social young adult. I love taking care of people and helping those in need as much as possible.

I am very caring, friendly, honest and dependable. I have always just been a very caring person naturally. There is nothing I would rather be doing then making people feel loved and cared for.

I consider myself dedicated, fun loving, caring patient,compassionate to the needs of individuals, pleasant toward others and those I care for and come in contact with being a caregiver and a parent the needs of others come first. Knowing what the individual needs and to assist that person to advance them in any learning, speaking, mobility, exercising skills with rehabilitation but still allowing the person to continue to be a great part of their community. I have been a caregiver for a great amount of time of my adulthood and parenthood which is a gift/ministry and I receive achievements by Assisting the individual to grow in self accomplishments.

I'm a grandmother of 6, im a kid love life . I've been a people person enjoy learning about their life how time was in there area . I love seeing there smile when I go to there door. It warms my heart. I'm a church lady ,I'm envowled with church functions. My mother has Alzheimer's it's my way of helping I treat my clients with respect. Like I would treat my mom. You get so much back,

I have always found myself happiest when in service of others. I served in the USMC 2001-2005, and after an Honorable Discharge, I have worked with several Emergency Medical Providers, to include Hospital and Fire Departments. I am well versed with Emergency procedures, but also the finer, personable and more gentle aspects of health care. I am very outgoing, and can strike up conversation with all ages in a respectful manner. In my 10+ years in an ambulance, I have found that easing ones worries with reassurance, and joyful conversation is the best way to alleviate a lot stress...and stress is a major role player in many patient symptoms. I have a knack for feeling out the personality/background of a person, and adapting my actions and communication to have a more productive relationship. I am married with 4 beautiful children, and my Wife is also in the healthcare field. We go to a small town Church, and live in a somewhat rural area. I also have 7 years as a skilled tradesman, so I am no stranger to fixing/repairing small to large projects, if they were to be encountered. My experience as a Father and Firefighter has given me skills in the kitchen preparing meals of all kinds. I am capable of lifting and moving large people with proper/safe techniques. I can relax with the best of them (reading aloud, watching TV, board games, chatting), but am able to be active for long periods of time without fatigue. My wife and I have both been the "go-to" people in our family for our Elders, as we have played an active role in their care-taking during their final years. My experience in the Emergency setting has given me instinct to interpret peoples signs and symptoms before they turn dire. If anything were to happen while I am a caregiver, I know exactly what to do while awaiting additional help. I have never been reprimanded or fired from any job.

I have only been a CNA since April but I've worked hundreds of hours since then taking care of people. I work very hard and I love taking care of people. I do everything I can to help people.

I completed my bachelors in SLP and have become interested in gaining experience with the geriatric population before beginning my externship in the spring. I have always been very fond of the older population since I was very close to and a caregiver for my grandmother as she went through her last years of life in home health care. I look forward to any opportunity to working with this population because I truly connect with them.

I have worked with the elderly for 22 years. The best part about working as a caregiver is the relationship that I build with my residents. My past residents have become family to me. While I worked with Hidden Lake Care Center my three daughters even came to visit the residents when they hadn't seen their families in a while. I believe that they are a great generation and deserve to be treated as such. I am also a certified CNA/CMT as well as insulin certified.
