After my first job as a caregiver to my father-in-law, I knew this was the work I wanted to do for the rest of my life. I'm a very patient person I have intuition towards peoples needs and wants. I am 26 and I have 3 kids that I love so much. I am very outgoing and always have a smile on my face. I have been a caregiver for 4 years. Although I loved what I did working in the kitchen at the hospital, it didn't bring me as much joy as caring for the elderly. I must say working at NMRC is very inspirational; not only does it open my eyes to the world, but it gave me the opportunity to help those who can't help themselves. Being a caregiver is such an honor. It's all about putting away your needs to assist others. Knowing that a smile on your face can bring joy and happiness to someone else is amazing to me. The moment when you can reflect back and see how you have helped someone is what caregiving is all about.

What makes me a great caregiver is being able to help families out. I know it gets hard and I'm able and willing to help. I take pride in my job and I am dedicated to my work. I became a caregiver because I helped take care of my grandparents, in which they were dealing with a lot of sickness. It made me want to be there for other families and my strong will of wanting to help others in their hardship. I enjoy the good times of being a caregiver.
