Hi my name is Dana. I am a mother of five beautiful children three girls and two boys. I have been in the healthcare industry since 2009, it's a passion I have. I have been in some form of the medical field for 16 years. I am able to chart medications, updates on the patient's well-being, medications taken, and progress. I am BLS/CPR certified and have been an Emergency Medical Responder for 12 years. I enjoy caring for patients and just feel this is my calling as it's the only thing besides being a mother that just felt "natural" to me.

I became a caregiver when my mother became really ill. I took care of her and took her to her doctors appointments and gave her all her medicines. I stayed with her for 19 days until she passed away. I also did the same for my mother in law until she passed. Now I am taking care of my 85 yr old father which has hypertension, diabetes, and dementia. I went to practical nursing school and received my diploma, but did not pass my test to receive my license. I am CPR certified, as well as a CNA. I love to take care of elderly people. I love to sit and talk with them. I love to encourage them to eat all their food. I connect very well with the elderly and they connect with me. I am very loving and understanding and patience. I was the oldest in my nursing program. I had 6 children that I raised on my own, working 2 jobs most of my life. I want to retake my nclex test so I can receive my license and become a LPN.

My mother was an LPN ,I learned a lot from her about being a caregiving. Taught me how to be compassionate loving ,caring ,strong and patient.I Lost my Husband to cancer two years ago, I took care of him , After he passed I knew, I wanted to do care giving again to bring some sort of joy and happiness to others in need.
