Honestly, I've always had a giving personality and I like helping people. But I'd love to tell you a story, which really helped me make this decision. When my grandfather passed away, my grandmother was left alone. Plus, her arthritis was starting to worsen, and she began having more and more trouble preparing her meals, bathing, and getting her groceries. So we found her a caregiver and she was absolutely amazing! She stayed with my grandma for longer hours than expected, while telling stories about growing up in Europe. That was very soothing for my grandma, and that caregiver inspired me to join this field. I really try to get to know my patients. I ask a lot of questions. I ask about their feelings and if they're dealing with weighty emotions, like sadness, anger, or anxiety. I listen as much as possible and tell them they can talk to me about anything without worry. I try building trust, and it's a gradual process, but I do my best to get there.

My name is Inna Golden. I've been doing PCA work for about 4 years now I got certified May, 2022. I plan to go back to school for my LPN the year of 2023 and what makes me happy the most about doing this type of work is me feeling like that it's something that I was called to do. I love helping others. I love spending time with other people. I love getting to learn different ways and learning different ways that I can help others. I am a Certified Nurse in the state of Mississippi. I have 2 years certified experience & 3 years of Home Health experience in the state of Georgia & Alabama. I specialize in restorative activities such as weights, ambulation & extension. I am trained with full body lifts & stand up lifts. I assist with everyday living activities such as daily hygiene, feeds, & perinatal care.

I decided after 18 years in my old career field that I was going to spend the rest of my working years doing something that I found rewarding. That desire led me to become a CNA. I enjoy helping others even if that means just talking when they need someone to talk to. I think that the elderly in particular have a wealth of knowledge and experiences that are overlooked by most people. I have sincere compassion for anyone that has an impairment or is seemingly forgotten. I'm very proud that I was able to go back to school and accomplish my goal of becoming a CNA. When I took my certification exam there was a lot of teens and twenty somethings there and most of them didn't pass. I'm a levelheaded, easy going, compassionate person and I enjoy people. I find contentment in the simple things in life and helping someone is at the top of the list.
