Hello my name is Ieasha Dumpson I am a Certified Nursing Assistant.I have been a caregiver for 12 years taking care of people is my passion.

I'm proud of continuing my education into the nursing field. I have my certification in medical assistant and medication aide for adult care. I'm currently taking all my prerequisites classes needed to get into the nursing program at James Sprunt Community college. I enjoy seeing my residents happy and satisfied. I enjoy my Alzheimer's patients the most because they can tell me their whole life story and it makes my day hearing their experiences, I feel so encouraged to come to work because my residents tell me how good of a job I do for them! I got attracted into the health care filed because I wanted a stable career and I wanted to make sure that I do something with my life that I actually enjoyed. I want to come to work happy and leave happy! I have 6 months experience as being a CNA at a nursing home. I assist with ADL, bathing, showers, feeding, mail care, hair care, catheter care, perineal care, cleaning,, using lifts to transfer , changing occupied and unoccupied beds, charting , weights, changing briefs, assisting residents to the rest room using a transfer belt or walker, cleaning out bedside commode.

1. Honestly, I became a caregiver not realizing the extent of care that was needed in the field. I observed my mother providing care for my father before he passed, and it was hard for me to see him passing away. Since I have become a caregiver, I understand the quality of care that is needed in order to help rehabilitate those who are dependent upon someone they can trust. 2. In this field,I have learned a lot about myself as a person. I never expected to become educated on the subject of self. I have learned that you should not take life for granted, disabled does not mean that a person is not human and that they want to be treated special because of their disability, how the small things in life mean so much to a person when they are unable to provide for themselves such as: a warm hello, brushing their hair, putting fresh flowers in a vase on the dresser or kitchen table. 3. A personal achievement that makes me proud is that, over the years, I can greet most family members that I have provided care for, and they smile and welcome me with memories of how I touched their lives as a caregiver for their loved ones, or those that I have provided care for to rehabilitate them during their short recovery. 4. What is calming to the mind as a caregiver is, going home that day knowing that you have made a difference in someone else's life. I love working with the elderly. My grandfather is 93 and I takes care of him. I have been doing this work for 25 years in April 2024. I love to make the elderly laugh by dancing or whatever makes them happy. I get the joy out of just making them happy.

My name is Betty, I've been a CNA for 24 yrs. I absolutely love my job. Love helping people of all ages. I've worked with a variety of pts in diff situations. I've taken care of pts who are paralyzed and some who are total bed bound. Work well with the Geriatric pt. I take my job seriously and love my pts as I do my own family. I have a soft spot for the misfortunate . I treat all pts as I would my family. I love God and give him the Glory for placing me in Healthcare.

I am a very caring and compassionate person. I am a mother of a very active 13 year old boy whom attends a Christian Academy and is very active in sports. I love the elderly, my grandmother raised me and then she got sick with cancer. That is what drove me to healthcare. I love hearing old stories from my elders and just feeling like I am making a difference in there day and giving them quality of life.

I enjoy helping other people. I love the feeling of knowing that I can make a difference in someone's life and make it better in some way. I am very passionate and loving to all the me.
