I have been a CNA in Georgia for over 17 years and I have worked in Nursing home, Rehab clinics, In home care, and hospitals. I'm the best of the best when it come to being a caregiver. I have many references and a clean work record. I am committed to making a positive approach in all aspects in my career and I take pride in my work.
I have been working as a Certified Nursing Assistant for 11 years. I started this work when both of my grandmothers had a stroke. Seeing them not being able to take care of themselves made me want to take care of others. I have worked in home care for 10 years. I have not met any client I did not love like family. I'm a mother of two boys and very much a family type person.
I became a caregiver because I like to help people. I like the good feeling I get knowing I am helping someone. I am proud that I am a caring person and can help people of all ages.I am proud that I have helped people to be able to do things they didnt think they could do. I am a CNA1. I have been doing this for 10 years and I love doing it. I have worked with pediatrics, alzheimer patients, stroke patients, cerebral palsey, elderly,People with disabilities. I really love to help people.
I'm a caring and knowledgeable CNA. I've worked with the geriatric population since I was 12! I started volunteering at the nursing home my mother was working at as the social worker. I've been a CNA since I was 18 years old. I'm very understandable about the effects of Alzheimer's and dementia and how it changes your loved one. I have said for years that working with "old people" is my calling. It's what I do best. I'm currently working on getting my nursing license but this will not interfere with my ability to be at work when I'm supposed to be. I'd love to care for your loved one!
I became a caregiver because I took care of my special needs daughter alone for 10yrs. I also took care of my dad for 6 hrs who had Domenica. I love being a caregiver because I have great compassion for people. My person compassion for people would be knowing when quality is alot better than quantity of life. Letting go. I have been a single mom for 11.5 yrs. New to Hickory. Very bubbly personality. Sings to my patients when i worked T the hospital who was on life support. A family in need who can not be with there loved one 24/7. I totally understand.
I became a caregiver because I accidentally took a biomedical technology class in high school and after becoming a CNA to get clinical experience I knew this is where I was meant to be. I like to be there for someone who may not have anyone else. I like building a personal bond with the people I care for. It helps me to understand different views and experience new types of people. I also enjoy the science behind different conditions but that is another story. I am proud that I have excelled in school and honestly I hold my pride in making my mother smile. My sister and my mother are the most important people in my life and I like to see them happy. I have had Obsessive Compulsive Disorder since before I can remember. It poses challenges that normal people never have to deal with. I was told that because of my disorder "healthcare is not my place". I however intend to endure and make it through every challenge my disorder brings along in my pursuits in medicine as well as everyday life. I am very used to being alone and find most peace there. I find that most people my age are very rowdy and I don't care to "party while I'm young" as is often suggested. I like quiet and peace though a one on one conversation and often in smaller groups is always welcome. I find that my calm quiet personality is one that seniors tend to be comfortable with but at the same time silly and energetic enough to chase a toddler around covered in dirt or whatever else.
I became a Caregiver because I love to help others, especially those who need extra support. I take pride in providing the best, quality care possible for the patient. I believe in being understanding, kind, patient, and genuinely caring for others. I have under 7 years experience caring for elderly (some with dementia, confusion, eating problems, breathing issues requiring oxygen, CPAP, BiPAP) and rehab residents (recovering from hip, knee, and back surgeries, strokes, etc.)
I became a caregiver to try a give back to people who show the most kindest and wisdom. I like being able to here the experiences of someone who often times is looking for someone to talk to. A personal achievement I am proud of is excelling in school work and achieving my certification from the state of North Carolina. I am a humble individual who prefers to listen well then speak loudly. Respect is something that I feel this career path requires and will be useful in a number of situations.
Hi! My name is Aurora Matthews. I have a wonderful husband and beautiful daughter, and we live in Hudson. I have my Cna license, med aide license, and current CPR and BLS. I am passionate about care giving because I spent much of my childhood helping my mother care for my severly handicapped little brother, so I understand the need for the right kind patient-centered care for your loved one. Since 2012, I have been a licensed nurse aide and have learned so much about the different kinds of care that clients may require and how to quickly adjust my care to meet their needs. I look forward to meeting and getting to know your family member!
